Ahhh yes, thanks, what was it called? That was my inspiration, still trying to fit the doors(jbeam part of them)
Yikes. Look up the 'merge' (ALT M) and 'extrude' (E) features of Blender. And probably the 'loop cut' (CTRL R) and 'make edge/face' (F) features as well. Also, while I hate to be the one to tell you this, you are posting in this thread too often. Roughly one quarter of the posts in the last two pages have been from or replying to you. And while I understand that you need help, advice, and direction, this is not the place to get it. I'm going to refer you to the Blender Artists forums (http://blenderartists.org/forum/). It's a quieter, more patient community, and has everyone from relative beginners to near-industry level experts, all of them eager to share with you their knowledge and experience. Create an account - it's perfectly free - and post your projects and problems in the Works in Progress section. You should get some helpful advice and truly constructive criticism, as well as referrals to dozens of helpful tutorials this community may not even know about. A few final pointers while you're there, as I will not be providing any more advice in this thread: Be kind. It could take several hours to get new replies to any given question you may have. Be careful not to be demanding or ungrateful when or if you aren't getting any attention; it's all too easy to do. And when you do get replies, be open minded. Even if it looks good to you, there may be some glaring flaw your peers figure you need to sort out before moving on. Unless they're openly insulting you or your work, they're there to help. The ones that want you to fail just won't say anything. Be a self-starter. Fill the interim while you're waiting for replies by looking up tutorials for... hell, anything pertinent to Blender. Camera mapping, creating human faces, architectural visualization, topology, etc. Anything you look into and learn from, even if you can't apply it to your problem, is something learned. And that can't be a bad thing. Similarly,... Diversify. You don't have a time budget. You don't. We've tried to tell you that you shouldn't try rushing in to a car-oriented project right from the get-go, but you haven't taken our advice. So please at least try this: do other things. Follow along with some of the above tutorials, or challenge yourself by trying to model something simple: a pen, a mailbox, a park bench. Grasping the basic concepts of 3D is easier with a basic project. And what you learn in those tangent projects will be useful in making your Subaru reality. If you follow my advice, and move your project over to Blender Artists, my account there is 'silent 1'. I don't get on too often, but at least you'll know someone there. If not, I wish you the best.
Why u no release awesomeness? I really like this and wish i had it Plz Release no joke its friggin awesome.
Re: Dese uglyz gapz Since nobody cared to help you out and tell you how to do it I'll tell you even though i don't even own the game yet. Lol. Cant wait to get paid this week, and if my bills arent astronomical i might actually finally buy it, then switch from RoR, but still play my precious RoR. So what you want to do is select the edges or vertices you want to fix a gap(or so you say) with and just press CTRL+E and select Bridge Edge Loop And voila your gap is fixed. Hope this helped you!
use ctrl r to add more reference lines and drag them up/ down to make the arch. And make sure to join those two parts of the plane to the left of the wheel together, or you will be left with holes in your car.
NOOOO!!! Please don't listen to what he is saying, if you listen to him you will ultimately destroy polyflow, which is something you lack right now. Your best bet is to watch some youtube vehicle modeling tutorial, but not the ones that use subsurf. The thing you want to do is either box modeling or polygon-by-polygon modeling. It is the most rewarding modeling method and if you do it the right way, it will give you good polyflow if you manage your polygons the right way. Hope I helped. Good luck man. Hope you do good in your endeavors.
This is what i just done. Thank you now when school starts monday and after a week or two ill be creating hellalot of mods for personal use. Con Semi, That is the title for this thing. Might release after I do a little node movements. No picture freaking internet spazzed out. Just imagine the semi cab without its roof.
that's what my problem was I thought I was missing something but I have decided to give this project a break for a couple of days I got stressed because of it. - - - Updated - - - oh thanks
haven´t been to this tread before, it´s basically "lets post my progress on a mod that i´m working on" right? so the thing i´m doing is all of the wheel swaps, every vanilla car will have wheels of any other vanilla car. so far i have gotten some wheels on the pickup they will all be modified to either 1. to fit the original wheel, so a sunburst wheels will be the same size as on the sunburst itself or 2. to fit the wheel on the car, so the boggers from a d-series will be scaled down to the original wheel or basically changing the skin 3. to fit the car, so they will not be the exact same as the normal wheels, but scaled down to fit it confortably this will most likely be a conversion mod instead of a skin mod

Here is a video of my exact workflow when modeling with me talking over the top describing everything. Maybe it might help you out a bit. Just make sure to keep things neat so that you dont end up with huge amounts of polygons. Please excuse the fact that i am talking at a million miles per hour but i wanted to keep it fairly short while fitting in tons of info. I think the audio gets slightly out of sync towards the end, so sorry about that. This is the sort of model that Gabester gets (image from Gabester dev blog post) although his workflow is probably a little bit different.
seeing this screenshot i want to point out one thing, the gavril logo is quite low quality :/ - - - Updated - - - update more wheels stock grand Marshall wheels custom grand martial wheels sport grand martial wheels
