Oh lawd Just to set things straight, you probably won't see this as an official addon(maybe maybe), it's simply a proof of concept I decided to do for fun. It works well, but it's not how tow trucks actually work.. I'll probably just shove it on the forum when I'm done with it.

That's a good call, especially in places like around the bonnet of the car where they are most visible at the moment. It made things look way better when i doubled the amount of edges around the wheel arches so will definitely be doing that in some other areas. Thanks EDIT: Just had a thought, i may have interpreted that wrong, do you mean change the lines that i have marked sharp to give them a bevel? This is what they currently look like. EDIT2: I have done some work to smooth the front geometry (still a bit more to do), i have also realized that the rear doors will have to change in order to properly accommodate for the rear windows. I think i will make the door follow the red line around the wheel arch.
Yep, control loops should be used on any big and visible sharp lines on the body really. It just makes the shading so much more natural and smooth. Just use the bevel tool by pressing ctrl b. I usually set it to about .5 or so but just use whatever looks right for each part. eg: Also really love your design so far
Thanks! That works really well. I found that i had to use 0.001 as opposed to 0.5 though which is a bit odd. The edges look more believable now. Since edge split is enabled some of the edges will still look sharp, so i will disable/tweak that at some point.
Some more progress on the Super Cub. I think this project is very versatile and allows for a lot of variations and different versions, and even different power plants . Almost no interior and no textures yet.
But why, this game needs tow truck. Or maybe you mill make an improved version of it and then include it as an official addon?
