Beta ester you going to make the front doors shorter cause I don't think people can enter the rear. I know those are old photos
wat. Sure beats the hell out of doing it by hand... Does your mini Covet explode? Might look into this if the editorizer scales the beam values too.
I think it is the case that you get in from the front, and push the front seats forwards, like you do in most 2 door cars.
wut? These images are only hours old, and I can't make the front doors shorter because I'm not making a Gavril Mini... although I could try making such a car in my spare time...
The editor doesn't change any beamspring/beamdamp/etc values, so yes, it is fairly unstable currently. The editor is also pretty buggy and annoying to work with, and it doesn't really work with multiple parts in one jbeam file, meaning I have to force it to scale some nodes by putting them in separate files. But as you said, it's much better than dividing individual node coordinates.
No idea what that is or how to do that. Is there a picture or video tutorial? All I did was erase the diving school skin and painted my own on GIMP then replaces the file.
Doesn't sound nearly throaty enough. Idle sound is way too high RPM. Should be much lower and louder. Here's a clip to kind of show what I PERSONALLY think it should sound like. Its the sound from arguably the best muscle car engine of all time, the Mopar 440.
Today's progress: UVed the top of the door somewhat, covered up the black hole where the doorhandle used to be, and textured the rubber window lining a bit. UVing is so damn boring, so I also covered the insides of the "pseudodoors" with the carpeting like the rest of the interior (which I also UVed...): If anyone would like to texture this for me, I can send said helper a file to start working on (in above image), then I could get modeling and Jbeaming done a lot quicker for this mod. I'm sure many of you are anticipating a big update for this mod, so feel free to help out with this whenever you can. In the mean time, in case you didn't notice, the first version of this mod is currently available at the BeamNG.repo if anyone would like to try it out.
Coming soon... (tires courtesy of @defib (not part of the mod, I just had it installed)) EDIT: Thanks whoever attached it! (the uploader didn't work, but a moderator uploaded it for me) EDIT: It's now finished, just waiting for it to be approved http://beamng.com/resources/camouflage-roamer-pack.87/ (will be there when it's approved)
Been working on the R/C Covet whenever I can. After a few more hours of work since my lasts posts, I've gotten all covet parts scaled down, and am working on the wheels. Wheels are a long process. I suppose I'll make a thread for it at some point soon.
