Redone the sides, shading still a little messy. Exactly 1250 Quads :/ I will maybe use normal maps to decrease poly count later.
on the sides coming down from the top you don't need to use so many polies, you could get a nice curve with half of those
Yeah, you're right there. How would I maybe go from 5 to 3 divisions, whilst still using 4 or 5 with the lower curve?
And it doesn't work as it should. Yeeey! BMW NB, converted using the wiki tools. Engine has too low RPM, suspension are wobbling, steering doesn't work (hydros are there and moving, but wheels nope).
Here is the start to my project! When I press "k" though to see my n/b it doesn't sow up? The camera also freezes its just a box but I need to be able to see it to start building it around the frame.
Dug up this old thing that I started nearly 3 years ago. Maybe I'll get off my lazy ass and finish it for BNG. Tri count is not too bad, around 40-45k with a full interior.
Whoa, that's actually a really good idea. But strangely... it looks familiar. Oh wait a second... did you get the idea to make that from the Miyazaki movie Porco Rosso? Anyway, back to the topic of the plane itself. I think it'd be interesting to see. However, there'd need to be a pretty big map for that to work out properly. Most of the current maps are HUGE for driving around, but they'd be too small to fly around.
Now it's a bit better. Strangly, the way the steering was made in RoR didn't work in BeamNG. QuickDraw On the left is how it was in RoR, the right how I made it in BeamNG (imported from here) Black - Normal beams Red - Nodes Green - Hydro In BeamNG, with the RoR setup the hydro was moving but the outer wheel node wasn't, making the wheel not move. (imported from here) I looked how it was done on the hatch and remade it as you see on the picture above It's working, but kinda badly (wheel tend to flop a bit) Engine is still underpowered (I copied the engine and transmission lines from the hatch) (imported from here) It's likely I need help.
I only just started learning to model 4 days ago and this is my first attempt at a car. Also I have no idea what type of body i will make yet. Any idea's?
Indeed it is the Savoia S-21 from Porco Rosso. Hayao Miyazaki works are fantastic and this plane always struck a chord with me. Also, yes the maps would indeed be too small to fly around. Nothing much can be done about that though.
Oh my god! that looks so good. how you guys are doing that. dkutch, please help me with my Golf project, i do not want to lost it. mesh is almost done, i have no clue about a nb. EDIT : Nadeox, i love it, fantastic work, you see? nothing is impossible
man seeing all these awesome projects you guys are working on makes me want to just rob a bank and build a new computer! ( figuratively speaking) i would love to put my genie lifts in beamng
OH MY GOD I LOVE YOU jk But anyway, that's an awesome looking car Can't wait for it to be released FastestClassic EDIT: Oh, and as for my development screen, don't have one yet, but I'm gonna make a "used" style of the Grand Marshal at some point. HINT: Bumper stickers. EDIT 2: ...maybe not, I can't figure out how to edit the .dds of the grand marshal EDIT 3: I think I'm gonna scrap that idea. For now, I'm just gonna work on some paint for the wheels. - - - Updated - - - That looks really good for your first model of a car chassis Could you take a side-view picture of it? I'd like to see how long it is so I can suggest what body the car should have FastestClassic EDIT 4 (whoa that's a lot of edits): Welp, I got something to work, finally. It's just a wheel though. Inspired by the VOLK TE37SL Rims. Yes, that is a slammed Grand Marshal You know, just for funsies. And I know it looks somewhat low-quality in that screenshot, but it looks way better in-game. IDK why.
Hmm... Originally, I was thinking you could make that into a '60s or '70s Dodge Charger, but now, I'm actually not so sure. Lemme sleep on it, I'll let you know any ideas I come up with tomorrow. FastestClassic
