I think we both misunderstood what he meant, I think he is saying the original mesh of the mod is by gabe, since its just an edited Grand Marshal. I too thought at first that he meant that his mod was gabe's original mesh.
First time that im actually very happy with my model. Im so happy, it looks so good for something that i made. Only thing i didnt do is the texture but i had to uv map it. Looks amazing I would like to know some feedback from some of the professionals here, i want to improve on my modeling skills. so tell me if i did something noticeably wrong. It will look amazing on this next car that im working on This is what the default trunk looked like. Its a bashed trunk for derbies. i dont really like that this was the only trunk as i like to have multiple configs when i make a car. my last car had a derby, dragster, and a stock version of it. i wanted this car to also have a stock config. I love modding
Awww yisss, it is the Jupiter Del Rio. OT: A Barstow engine that has slower acceleration and low power, also lower top speed.
The models from dirt showdown are pretty good but needs a lot of work on them. This is one of the example when i say they need a lot of work on them I have to remodel the engine bay with almost every car, do the uv maps well. at least its going to look good in beamng. Stock hood is done as well. Its default hood looks like this.
A front fascia would be too complicated so i really dont think ill model a front fascia sadly. but there is already a bumper. Stock is more of a no derby parts then an everyday street car tho. if id have help to model the stock parts i would do the jbeam. but a front fascia would need textures as well. For sure that im going to add more then just a stock hood and a trunk tho. there is more planned then just that
After convincing myself that i should continue the Fairmont, i have continued it out of total boredom and other reasons too stupid to explain. List of what i did: Added a "302" V8 complete with the effect of a catalytic converter. Lightened the light texture. Added chrome to areas that need chrome. Added taxi sign and pushbar and some other stuff too long to add (includes the antenna from the Marshall). Added a manual shifter for Base and Detective versions. What i should add next: UV maps. Skins. Radiator Mesh. Correct police era parts. What it used to look like before:
Looks good, and of you want, I can make skins since I lost interest in my own skinpack and like helping with mods better. I'm not good at jbeam and mesh work so I can only do simple stuff like the skins and some parameters of the car
Nice jbeam but from what i see, a part of the roof and a rear end area seemed unjbeamed --- Post updated --- DTS-V skin
While waiting on some testers for the EVO, Here's another project i've started; Even though Russian modders have absolutely zero jbeam skill, they do have some pretty decent models.
I take that like the Ford LTD, it will unfortunately not be released? Which means that I won't get the chance to enjoy it. I'd love to have a working Ford LTD and Fairmont mod in BeamNG again.
