Your problem is that you don't have frame of reference. It's a small sporty car based on a regular hatchback, i.e. Peugeot 406 or was it 506?, Nissan 100, Honda Del Sol. It's small, so it's got weird preportions. Or maybe your problem is that you're one of those people who can't stand cars with cute faces, most people absolutely hate the Renault Twingo, but I find it to be the cutest car ever made. But, I'll be honest. It is a preculear looking car, it thinking of making it more of a French car than a Japanese one, hell, maybe it'll be a car designed by the French and the Japs?
Its a nice design imo. However the model does have some issues in that smooth curves don't look as smooth as they should do. Also the lines along the side of the car looks a little odd, almost as if they wobble around. Generally most cars either go with flat lines or smoothly curved lines. So I would suggest going over it and reworking some of the lines to make them look cleaner, smoother and less wobbly. Since the design is nice, just the model doesn't live up to it potential IMO.
The model is far from finished, some parts will look completley differently. I know of many un even and odd looking bits. It's all work in progress.
You're right, it looks a bit inflated, like a very shiny ballon with holes in it... You're right, but maybe to make it less peculiar you could round both of the headlights and separate the taillights?
Plz, hold off these kinds of suggestions for now. I'm away from my computer at the weekends, so I cannot do any adjustments. As I said, its WIP, many changes in the future. I make this car with no real car reference, I make adjustments as I go along.
The Sunroof is something I had thought about (and forgotten about), however it is something I will be waiting until the end to do since I would have to duplicate the chassis and put some holes in it. Since the chassis isn't 100% final I'd rather not have two separate versions for now. However I have since created a 3d model for the towing hitch, I have also given it a bike rack slot too. You can see where the bike rack slots into the towing hitch on the image below. The R60e Rebel on the trailer was slightly bigger than a tight fit Obviously bikes are not going to fit on while towing this caravan, however this caravan probably exceeds the legal towing weight of the vehicle by quite a bit anyway The bike rack is also jbeamed and as such will deform if crashed.
