If you lower nodeWeight, you need to increase beamSpring. If your nodeWeight is too low compared to the beamSpring, the structure will vibrate or explode.
Yeah, that's the issue. I have it at the spring as high as it can can go before it starts vibrating/exploding and it's just not stiff enough. However, after removing the nodes in the center of the arms, it appears to be a lot stiff, but I'm too tired to do it to the other three arms so tomorrow I'll see if it actually has any benefit
we're getting there i have yet to tweak the materials a bit and flip some faces that are being a pain before i can start on the jbeam
after a day of working on this thing, today was its first test in-game. i like it even moar. i am also not 100% sure but i think ill make the jbeam from scratch this time. (except suspension lol) Model is from scratch and for a 1st car from scratch, i think its pretty good. ignore the obvious chrome interior. thats my fault for forgetting a few things lol.
After some boredom I did add the pro bucket seat. I did test specular and normal maps with it. Small adding but happy that the texture came less black than before, although if we look closer we can see lines of the shapes, had to reduce number of faces.. Edit : Posted better pics, under sunlight as others were not and looked black. Also realized the lines might be due to normal map, i'll remove it to see.
