True, it's not in much detail, so for all we know, it's just another frame. --- Post updated --- Google: https://www.google.com/search?q=exc...2.69i57j0l5.7327j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
needs a lot of separation work I merged the nosecone into one piece since that how it is irl but pretty much all the t/a pieces need to be separated from what they bolt on to, the interior needs to be separated from the body, the sub frame needs to be separated from the body and into separate pieces and some parts of the suspension need to be separated, what would be the best way to do this?
Judging that there are separate materials (at least on your interior) separate by materials in edit mode with everything selected (P). You could also try removing doubles and see if you can select certain parts and then add an edge split afterwards. Hope this helps, and keep up the good work! --- Post updated --- Holy Sparkles, Its within reach ! @The Shotty
getting somewhere.now I need need to merge a lot of things, how can I separate things further though like separating the shaker from the body? just spawned in a barstow, they are almost the same size which is nice
If you go into edit mode and select the polygons you want to separate, you can press "P" to open the separation menu. Selecting "separate by selected" will make the selected polygons into a separate object.
Sorry for such a late reply! I was in BP re-ripping. You could hit "L" in edit mode and select all the linked faces, or you could try separating by loose parts (but that could separate the body into a bunch of different objects). I would go with the first one and make sure all the faces are selected. You're doing a good job!
You should! You should start with an easier project. All those curves will be a pain to reproduce in Jbeam
