I made an enormous city map a long time ago and it was fine, the only issue was skidding which caused lag spike but theres a fix for that
@Laxix88 That's a beautiful looking map. I was waiting for a huge highway map. It will be cool to drive with 10-20 AI controlled Toycars or Busfags simulating traffic . I made some updates on the Mustang too. Here is a before and after of the newest version of the rear quarterpanel. Before After I've also redone the trunk and those bodypieces on each side of it. Does anybody know how these are called? And here is the before and after wireframe, so you can really see how wrong I was the first time I've modeled it. Before After
It's together just waiting on some more love. Sent through the stars by my Galaxy with a Note for you!
I've been tweaking lot of things on this thing (especially after some very useful advices). First off, I finished UV mapping the wheels. It's just AO bake right now, will texture it in a second moment. The frame is now less wobbly and tires have realistic-ish weight. Added closed differential (selectable). The wheels clip trough the frame when turning. I will have to reduce the steering angle a bit (or find a way to add some space between the two). (imported from here) (imported from here) I also wanted to redo the cab, not after the HEMMT/Oshkosh Mk48, but something else like an Iveco Trakker/Stralis (as I branded this thing as an European truck). The mashup should work well. (imported from here)
Stupid question, truck looks awesome but is it possible to make the two rings at the front sway/dangle, that would be epic. Also this: http://a-7073.autoline.info/spare-parts-cabin-parts-cab-IVECO-TRAKKER--a14032115204556914800.html Useful as info on these trucks is hard to find.
Extremely low poly news van. Don't know if I will put it in BNG but you never know. Btw this is that old frame I posted about a while back. (imported from here) Let me know if you find problems. There are some rough spot here and there but I'll working on it. The over model has 24k tris.
Finished the windows and the chrome trims. Here is the car with some basic materials, so the trims become more visible. Also more detail on the interior. I still have to clean up some of the rough edges, model the badges and more interior stuff and redo those headlights and air vents on the sides. Polycount at ca. 45k including interior and underbody, so I have room to smooth some things out
That would be useful, thanks! If I keep the rings, I will make them swing. It all depends on how they will look on the new cab. Here's some early shapes of it Got a name already for it NAIVE ACTL 8x8 Nardelli Industrial Vehicle AutoCarro Tattico Logistico That's looking great, keep it up!
I'd personally raise the cab a little bit to increase the approach angle, looking a little low if you're going to do any offroading in it. D-Rings could probably be mounted between the headlights quite nicely, its a configuration I've seen before. Overall though, I think that style of cab really suits the vehicle. Should also be noted that naive is a word in the english language, specifically: naive nʌɪˈiːv,nɑːˈiːv/ adjective (of a person or action) showing a lack of experience, wisdom, or judgement. "the rather naive young man had been totally misled" (of a person) natural and unaffected; innocent. "Andy had a sweet, naive look when he smiled"

synonyms: innocent, unsophisticated, artless, ingenuous, inexperienced, guileless, unworldly, childlike, trusting, trustful, dewy-eyed, starry-eyed, wide-eyed, fond, simple, natural, unaffected, unpretentious; More

of or denoting art produced in a style which deliberately rejects sophisticated artistic techniques and has a bold directness resembling a child's work, typically in bright colours with little or no perspective. Conversely I'd personally recommend lowering the body a tad, just seems a rather tall vehicle with a high approach angle. Perhaps not too critical on this design though. Only other points I feel I can make relate to the door. Normally there would be a straight vertical edge on the front of the door, it may then curve or angle backwards from that edge but at least part of it would be vertical, the hinges are usually located here. Your doors as a result of not having this vertical section will open on an angle. Of all the bizarre traits vehicles have had in history that is not exactly the weirdest, but its pretty weird. It also looks like the bottom edge is pretty high up, you should perhaps add a step.
The craziest thing of all is this one actually has a J-Beam. Made and UV mapped the 5th wheel attachment aswell (you can't really see it here) so you can truck through the mud with this high ground clearance trailer to your hearts content
Not sure if the D15 is heavy enough to handle the wait of that trailer. What's the weight of that trailer. Sent through the stars by my Galaxy with a Note for you!
I'll ask the man doing the J-Beam! I think the suspension at the rear has been beefed up to accommodate. Also the double tyres help with the grip as there's a lot of weight on them Sent from my HTC One X+ using Tapatalk
That would be good. I'd improve the brakes also. Add trailer brakes. Sent through the stars by my Galaxy with a Note for you!
Ye, I might include a stock version just for the lols, it's fun pulling far to much weight or trying to Control it down a large Hill. Corkscrew mountain comes to mind. Sent from my HTC One X+ using Tapatalk
