Looking great Gabe! Noticed that the wheel isn't clipping on the Hirochi as much as i usually see them do in the current build. Was there any improvements to that?

The huge issue with the setup done by the IHSS is that the bel Air had the engine removed from it which on a big body car like that is a large structure point you are removing, making fold a lot easier and cause more damage imho. The cars back then were made NOT to crumple like it did in the video (cite picture in the link)Although we don't know the speed of the two cars on impact, things were a lot slower back then, speed limits were 55 mph on the freeway so they weren't built for high speed impacts. Granted I could very well be wrong but I am going off of something a former teacher and I talked about. Sorry I can't describe it the best but I think you get the picture. Would love to hear your opinion on my thoughts though :)

The '59 Chevy was the worst car they could've picked (or best, depending on your agenda) to compare to a modern car. It was notoriously underbuilt with the crappy X-frame design, and the car in the video appeared to explode with rust in the impact. I guarantee if you put a modern car up against something like a 1966 Chrysler Imperial, the results would be much different. The people in the Imperial would probably still be seriously injured (no airbags, etc.), but it wouldn't completely fall apart like the Chevy. That generation of Imperial is actually banned from most demolition derbies for being too strong.

Modern safety can only do so much... 3600 pounds of 'Murica with a closing speed of over 100 mph will do some nasty things:

I don't think anyone walks away from a crash like this

damn nice, looks like collision issues are fixed if the cars seperated after that crash :p

Here's the little trailer I've been working on for the D15 (not textured yet). Covet Race had some trouble with the angle of the ramp. 3stanced5me

    Oooooooohh, seexay.
At the moment is there a way to drop the gate in the back, or is that further down the road?
Nice to see this unveiled, was wondering what this trailer would look like.
Oh you edited the post lel, guess that means the ramp goes, down. Cool.

    Thats awesome!
You could probably make the suspension of the trailer lower with the ramp without much difficulty.

Right now it uses the parking brake to open/close :p We'll have custom generic inputs for hydros soon. Parking brake on = ramp down. Parking brake off = ramp up.

Technically, yes, but since it's basically got the suspension of a horse cart (beam axle with leaf springs) it wouldn't actually be able to do that.

This is going to be great!

I can guarantee that it will be released when I should be doing a big project at school, judging by how my life works. (even better is that it will seem like I won't have a lot of work to do before that.)

Haha, I feel your pain, but I've gotten used to using this wheel, anything else would be inadequate.
