i would buy one just because of the taillights because those are sexy AF and i guess the price is good if you get an AWD S (without the turbo)
No, because YBR said it would have the most horsepower per liter so that means it'd be really unrealible or way overbuilt
Since then, the devs have enlarged the motor a bit and now it is like 2.2 or 2.5 litres. And even if it is not, the 2006 Lancer Evolution had an optional 440 HP 2.0 engine, so why can't a 2016 car have a 460 HP 2.0 engine?
Who knows? We don't know if the SBR4 has good build quality, soft-touch interior materials, feels good to drive, etc. If it ticked most of the boxes but not all, it's likely in small numbers, maybe a few thousand units a year worldwide. It might still be too radical for most people. If not, of course not.
In an alternate beamng world, the SBR4 could have been born as a Japanese cheaper alternative (copy) to the 911, probably back in the 60s-70s. Something in the lines of what the 240Z or, later on, the MX5 did with British sportscars and roadsters. I'd like to have a 240Z or an MX5 IRL so I guess I would fancy a SBR4 too. BTW I think that taking an unmistakable German archetype and bringing it to a Japanese brand and background was genius.
Yup, perfectly reasonable for a fast sports car, considering the Evo X final edition concept was originally going to have around 500HP out of a turbo 4B11 2.0L inline four but sadly due to the costs (not just for the engine, other things like transmission and suspension need upgrading too) it was not produced as such. The Evo X has proven to be pretty reliable too, considering it has a turbine that spins at 10000 RPM, needs engine oil to cool it and glows red when it gets hot...
That's not how it works...... Agree. The taillights are hellasexy. Maybe if i could remake the entire rear end.... There is no need for rear seats, you chould shorten the roof, expand the engine bay and move everything a little bit more forward while making the rear bumper a little bit more curved, and the car would be better, better looking, and lighter, and maybe more engine room for bigger engines.
I think it would sell very well... to the right audience. Many tuners and genuine sports car enthusiasts would dig it. However, Families looking for an affordable luxury/quality/reliable car would not be the right targets. One example of this would be although it is roomy and most likely comfortable, it's only a two-door. It's also safe to assume that many people would not like the transmission options. A young driver would not be fond of a Dual Clutch or, in most cases, especially a manual. Then again focusing on the other groups, this would be the ideal car; of good quality, quick off the line, good transmission options, and a ton of customization potential. In my opinion, it all comes down to the buying audience. There are many who like its sportiness, and many that dislike its disfunctionality.
i am not a modeler. I am not suggesting to remake the car, i am suggesting about selling the car in real life. I WOULD LOVE to see a non-shooting brake (wouldn't be an SBR4 anymore, wouldn't it?) and take it as more of a roadster/coupe design instead.
i have the exact same feeling a little bit of Porsche feeling to it? (a japanese porsche ) shorter for the 911 feel and and extra door for the panamera feeling
I thik what should be refreshed a little is the front. The rear looks incredibly sexy, but the front is just kinda... basic. Integrated daytime running lights and maybe even LED blinkers would make the car much, much better, as well as a grille that isn't just a giant piece of plastic.
