Usually before I upload a mod I zip it, clear everything out of my mods folder, clear the vehicle folder of whatever I'm working on, then deep clear cache and run the game with only my mod. More often than not I find issues that were otherwise hidden like a typo or overwritten material or something. Try doing that and checking to see if you end up with what the other people are experiencing.
1.1 HOTFIX RELEASED! Changelog: -Fixed a recurring issue where the body would look messed up -Slight model improvement Thank you everyone for reporting the bug and being patient. I thought I'd deliver this before the halfway point of December for the mods I'll release this Christmas (probably), but the issue has been fixed. I believe this was caused by Windows messing up even more, because it seems like some of the jbeam didn't even save and caused this entire issue. It has been fixed now and I hope you all have a great day. Enjoy the mod.
2 second search on google and just downloaded it for the purpose of that screenshot from a shitty website
I like the mod and I think it could go somewhere but there is a few kinks I would try to work out. 1. Shading seems to be f'ed and looks weird (Do edge split modifier in blender and mess around with it until it fits you best) 2. Spoiler not transparent in game but transparent in photos. 3. Front Bumper and Body two completely different colors. 4. Transparency problem on the inside of the charger
I tried to make a skin for this body, but I couldn't get it to work. @bolt_beamfan2407, can you make a blank template file with the materials.cs and NASCAR.jbeam file in it?
I'll look into these when I have time, thanks. I think I know why the lexan of the spoiler is like that. First of all, this mod relies on .json material files, the .cs material files have been outdated long ago. Second of all, could you send me the files so I can take a closer look at it? (also the the png template is already blank idk what youre talking about)
I meant the texture files. I'll send you my skin attempt tomorrow because I'm busy playing NR2003 right now. Also, merry Christmas!!!
First of all, the materials.json file is unedited from the Jeff Gordon skin included, along with a incorrect directory in baseColorMap, that would make it appear as a "NO TEXTURE" otherwise. Second of all, my Dodge body and the stock Chevy body use different "materials" It's just a name difference, but that's what differentiates materials. You could copy and paste one material in a .json file and simply rename it (including the parts in name and mapTo) and the game will count it as 2 different materials.
This car is fun to make skins for!! --- Post updated --- New thread: WIP - NASCAR 2000s Skins | BeamNG
That's what happens when you port an NR2003 mod mesh to a game with higher-quality graphics and then turn it's graphics down lmao
