Haha, once upon a time I was really keen on making a car mod, I even made a model in Blender, but my lack of time and primarily laziness, stopped me.
A police car from my book. It's not 100% official yet. I think I want to use a more vibrant shade of navy blue and am debating whether to go with an all-blue design instead of the black. There will also be some sort of seal or insignia above the writing on the door but I haven't designed it yet. It's the same make and model as Finn's car, except about 15 years newer and a larger version. While we just buy clothes in different sizes, a much wider variety of products in this world are available in different sizes to accomodate the larger size differential between species. Another minor thing of note is the mirrors. While most vehicles have fender-mounted mirrors like old British and Japanese cars, police cars and other public service vehicles are exempt to prevent the flashing light on the roof from shining in the driver's eyes.
I'd keep the blue/red/black paint job. Makes the livery more unique than it would be if it was all blue. Car looks great. --- Post updated --- I'm also thinking that it'd probably look good as a taxi.
Thanks! One thing to note is that the stripe actually changes colour depending on jurisdiction. Red means the car is stationed in the city centre, whereas cars from other parts of the city could be yellow, blue, green, or whatever, depending on the district. My idea is that all public vehicles would have variations of the same paint scheme. Police have a blue base, fire is red, ambulances are yellow, and so on. Taxis would have the whole bottom of the car painted the district colour instead of just a stripe. EDIT: Like this:
