I know there are other threads for this but I didn't want to bump any. Is the dyno coming back, @tdev? I know it had some bugs and all but it would still be a neat feature.
It wouldn't be that realistic to be honest (along that you can source the data of the vehicle's power from the aforementioned performance section (even the one in the Official Content page).
Dyno: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dynamometer A dynamometer or "dyno" for short, is a device for measuring force, torque, or power. For example, the power produced by an engine, motor or other rotating prime mover can be calculated by simultaneously measuring torque and rotational speed (RPM).
Dyno is dead man... Or am I thinking of disco?.. OT: IIRC the dyno was abandoned because the bugs it suffered were to the point where it wasn’t usable. Tire collision issues maybe? If that is the case, due to the complexity of tires I wouldn’t expect it in the near future.
Ah yes the hud dyno is nice and all... But it just does not have the romance that a real dyno has! We could put our Automation cars on it and see if the manufacturers are fudging their output numbers. Haha!
Im sorry for bumping this but theres already too many topics created for this. Cant the devs just release the dyno that they abandoned because it was buggy like a beta release? Or a mod? In the mod section you can release WIP cars and other stuff so why cant the devs just release the "buggy" dyno for us to test? And why hasnt anyone created a simple dyno if so many people want it. Devs please release the dyno as a mod or something, or people who have created mods for this game can you please create a simple dyno? We already have the dyno app so we just need a roller to drive on and nothing else, we could even strap the cars down with CTRL+Mouse.
What's the point of releasing something that does not work? It's not like it's just a little buggy, it simply does not work.
