okay, this is a big one, but here I go: 1. I am aware about the deformation, I tried my best for it not to deform badly (I've re made the jbeam thrice) but I'm not really sure if it's a model thing or just how the jbeam system handles deformation, though, the body shouldn't deform technically, as it's made out of fiberglass, but beam does not support that. 2. Previously the driver node (driver cam) was attached to the seats, but in an update coming I made them attach onto the main body, and the difference is really noticeable. 3. I'm not really good at suspension geometry, I might need help with this, but it's mainly due to the heavier, chunkier tires 4. I tried to do my best on the model, but I do agree some models aren't as good as others. I'm not sure what roof are you refering to, or in what way they are weak, but the "roof" used in, let's say, the "normal" buggies are cloth, so they're quite weak/easy to dettach. the 2+2 roof is made out of fiberglass, so I thought they'd be stronger but not too much. However, I might make the metallic hardtop on the baja configurations be a bit stronger, so they don't dettach as easily. 5. I haven't had issues while driving on sand myself, and I am also a keyboard user as I don't have a gamepad or a wheel. 6. Yep, it's one of the things I've been procrastinating to fix, I'll work on those right now. 7. I'll fix that. 8. all materials have dedicated texture sets, with wear and stuff like that, but I've also noticed some parts (like the roll bars) barely have anything regarding details, but some things like the body (the one used on the base model) does have some detail, mostly at the black part. Though I will add more detail in other zones/parts. Regarding the extra part, I feel like the Beach Buggy name it's good enough, as it's what it's been named since even before being something in blender. Technically, the manx irl is american, but I just branded it as Autobello, something I overlooked but it just stayed there Thank you so much for the feedback, I am also working on an update which may release pretty soon --- Post updated --- I've just fixed the gauges' branding, it does say Autobello now instead of Gavril
Read!? Reading is too hard, stringing together consonants and vowels to make syllables and then words and sentences is too much work.
In my opinion this is worth every penny, keep in mind that this is a EA Paid Release, €2.70 is great. To be honest, I already love this mod even in its current state and cannot wait for more updates to make it even better Cheers!
idk if this has been asked before but what are your plans for this mod as a whole like what parts are you going to add/make?
Extremely cool of you to take the traditional way of making early access paid and then eventually free. I cannot afford this myself but I am looking forward to it
Cool! for #4, the gray cloth roof is just paper thin with the "B Pillars", if you can even call them that. When you look at them from the rear, they're so thin i question how they even hold it up. That can just be expanded and widened a bit, and you can make a wider support in the rear cargo area. Another suggestion is possibly some plastic cladding in the cargo area for a tiny bit of realism that shouldn't be too hard to do.
Where is he? --- Post updated --- This is exactly why I personally wait before making any payments to anyone for a mod. Anyone can make a mesh slap mod and put it up for $25.
The roll bars are also like that in real life. Also, I don't really know how a plastic cladding at the back is realistic, or at least, I've never seen them, so I can't quite model them based on any reference. --- Post updated --- understandable I guess...?
I don't mean the roof bars, I mean this: Though, i see it isn't an actual pillar. But, as you can see, it doesn't even attach to the body and just needs more texture and maybe some less basic modeling (like ridges, etc)
If you paid for a mod that has (early access paid) in the title and you really don’t have leg to stand on in terms of quality insufficiency. it’s the same concept as buying almost any brand of new car or vehicle, for that matter in the 1st of 2nd year of release, you should have known that there would be quality insufficiency before buying it. With that being said your subjecting yourself to having problems or issues with the product.
I've just updated the buggy on both platforms (Ko-Fi and Gumroad respectively). Changelog includes: -Fixed rear part of the body getting slightly pushed out -Added a cooler in the back -Fixed extended rollbars having bad deformation -Fixed engine still working after being dettached -Stiffened baja's rear springs -Fixed 456's bouncy front suspension by changing to Rally Coilovers -Fixed lights still working when dettached on 456 configuration -Added more steering angle to the baja configurations -Fixed missplaced jbeam of N/A exhaust from baja configurations -Added hood pin mesh on the baja configurations -Added RPM needle for the steering column and increased the thickness of the column -Fixed gauges' branding (It should say Autobello now instead of Gavril) -Added mesh breaking simulation (this should help deformation greatly, though it's not great on some situations, but should fix most spiking and weird stuff) -Revamped pedals with new models and textures. Enjoy!
