    Although this has been addressed a few times already, this thread is getting large so let me clear some things up here! :)

    Currently, our focus for Career Mode development is exclusively on our West Coast, USA level. When users are playing on say, the East Coast, USA map and then initiate Career Mode, there will be a brief transition (e.g., 1 second) where Career Mode starts, but then loads West Coast, USA.

    West Coast, USA serves as the primary testing ground for ongoing Career Mode feature development. While Career Mode features are open and accessible for modders to explore and integrate into other levels, and we encourage experimentation and play, it's important to note that each subsequent release will introduce new features that may replace older ones.

    Simply put, for now, we are only focusing on WCUSA while we develop Career Mode.

    Please tell me drag racing will be incorporated into Career Mode at some point. I would love to see index drag racing and bracket drag racing at the drag strip.

    Absolutely! We're more than thrilled about incorporating Index and bracket drag racing types—it's a fantastic way to introduce gamified difficulty and challenges into BeamNG without feeling arcadey!

    Imagining the challenge: "Your car can nail the run in 8.5 seconds? But can YOU?" It adds an extra layer of excitement to the drag race experience in my humble opinion. In Career Mode, Drag Racing will be a Skill under the Motorsports Branch. While we're just beginning to delve into actual Career Mode-oriented Motorsports Branch development, there's more work ahead, including refining start screens, end screens, rewards, and more, before we fully integrate Motorsports Branch-style gameplay into Career Mode. It'll take a bit of time, but it's definitely on the horizon!

    The off-road garage to garage delivery at Mount Wallis will freeze on me if I have too many car mods enabled, not one single mod will cause the issue on it's own, just the number. And only the off-road delivery has this issue, the old car, new car and race car deliveries all work fine.


    And when you buy a car, all parts have the same mileage, that's a bit unrealistic, wear items should have lower mileage on them than rest of the car, nobody's running on 250k mile tires.

    That's a great eye for detail right there, thanks for bringing it up. The wear parts - brakes, shocks, tires, etc are all WIP for mileage. For now, only the basics have been implemented while we focus on other aspects, but wear items are certainly on the list of things to tackle.


    At this time, there is no very clear date. We want this, and the best I can say is, "it'll be here when it gets here!" ;)

    i know head gasket, oil leaks, and coolant leaks and general engine issues are possible in game currently, do you think buying cars with possibly heavly damaged engines would be possible, or even scams, like going to a shady dealer, paying 10k for a 2020 etk, finding out its complete poo, and never getting anything back?

    Higher mileage vehicles that you buy already perform much worse than their newer counterparts! As for shady vehicle sales, it's always recommended to test drive vehicles before you purchase them, in real life and in the game ;)

    ok but what if i want to buy an old 200bx for 500 that doesn't start, then, put a new engine in, or possibly an ibishu 2.0 or a bruckell v8,

    Buying stripped down vehicles, whether body parts or mechanically is a distant goal, but a goal none-the-less. For now, the rudimentary systems are the focus, and things like this aren't the highest priority - we want to make the driving gameplay solid first, have a robust core-loop of the game that functions very well before we get to the fun sprinkles of detail like this! :)

    I already noticed that older/high mileage vehicles have a rougher idle, but are the more drawbacks currently in the game? Like reduced power output or some other issues? :cool:

    What about utilizing the lemon Scrapyard/Dealership? Maybe for the lowest spec high mileage models, for really cheap.
