Will there be an unblurred version of that image when 0.35 drops?

Also, very nice to see more parking lots getting added. Will these be those parking garages that we normally can't access (like the one under the peach-colored convention center or the one under the lipstick-looking building near the docks), or all-new ones?

No I'm not opening up those, at least not yet (I'd love to though and there are plans around here somewhere for that after some initial tests I did at some point)

But here's ooonneee more sneak peak :D

Right, that makes sense. Mildly unfortunate, but thankfully, WCA's far better-off in terms of explorability than it was when it released in 0.11.

Also, wow, these new areas look lovely. I especially like the new drag strip parking lot/new drift zone.

Are there plans of adding a garage to Spearleaf Island? I don't know if that's been asked yet.

    Glad you like'm, thanks!

The new drag strip area has a new tuning garage outside of it as well, was what got me started on the whole redo of the area - the ability to quickly tune your vehicle when at the drag strip instead of having to keep going back to your garage.

Regarding a garage on spearleaf island - no there isn't, the only missing thing from there from the initial plans is a fishing hut - we were going to have a sort of rundown old fishing hut/area that represented a business to pickup/drop off from, but it never materialized.

I've actually spent quite of a bit of time rebuilding many of the otherwise problem-roads, as well as adding a lot of extra new "secret" back roads that I'm exciting for players to discover. But take this area for example, each one of these highlighted roads have been completely rebuilt and improved:

Oh, that tuning garage at the drag strip is a very nice idea!

And that's alright - I was asking since Spearleaf's so far away from everything else. That fishing hut does sound neat.

What do you mean by "rebuilding"? Will the curvatures/profiles be adjusted, or was there some other issue (like poor framerates) that I've missed in the past seven years?

Hah, thanks a lot, and yeah don't let the others know that I've shared so much! I'm sure it's fine . . . It'll be fine... it's fine, I'll be fine, it's fine!! :D

Regarding the rebuilding, I mean resurfacing and rebuilding the guard rails for instance. Proper lane widths, proper banking, proper curve-straight-curve rather than continuous "gamey" curves. Here's an example of the newly built road for instance, feel free to compare it against the Steam version:

That'll make getting to/from Fast Automotive (at least, from the east) far easier. Very nice to see this - usually, I don't like taking deliveries to/from Fast, since it takes forever to get in/out of the racetrack.

Gosh that's going to be cool, I'd love to make a Side By Side comparison video comparing the 0.11 West Coast USA to the modern day. Very promising!

Haha, I really wanted to do it but I knew the majority of people would hate smashing their trucks over and over, so instead I've made it 4meters (the 13'1 standard height) to try and keep the peace. :)

I love the idea of a video like that, that would be very cool!

You could use the 0.14.0.5 beta (since until 0.21, WCA didn't really change all that much). The Platin Gate Bridge did get opened in 0.12, and there were some new billboards in 0.13, but that's about it. That's the most original form of WCA you could officially get (the 0.23 beta has all the major changes from 0.21, like the city tunnels, highway tunnels, the central station, the logistics center near the racetrack, the construction site, and more - and in 0.23, the walkway/train station across the main highway got revamped).

But yeah, would be very interesting to see how much progress has been made on WCA in the past seven years.

This is perfect for buses and trucks! You always risked hitting or scratching someone in the oncoming lane in those tight corners. Perfect!

It would be cool to have non truck routes in game. A parkway with 9' bridges on ECUSA for example.

Not only for the sillyness of running a box truck into a low bridge, but also the extra gameplay element of having to actually pay attention and plan your routes if you want to use a big truck for a mission. It's also interesting to see what IRL oversized load truckers have to do to mitigate issues like that, including bypassing a bridge using the on/off ramps, placing mats to hop curbs and bridge drainage trenches to make a tight turn, etc...
