Lada, Wolgas for richer people, Dacia 1300 and 1310, Skoda, Moskvich, Tatra, Zastava, ZAZ or Wartburg. Later you could buy cars like Mazda323 or 626, Nissan Sunny, Daihatsu in Pewex if you had enough Dollars. There's also possibility that you could have bought Citroen, FORD, VW, FIAT, Peugeot or even Volvo, except I'm not sure if these were sold in Pewex, or Genex which was East Germanian.
Yeah, we had Tuzex where you could buy car like the Peugeot 205, VW golf and other. Some western cars were also sold through normal Mototechna shops those were cars like the Renault 4 CV, 8, 5, 6, 16 and some other, Ford Cortina, Small Fiats like the 500, 126 (even the Italian original), 600, 850 but also models like the 127, 128 and 131 also Saab, Chrysler, and Simca sold quite well, especially the Simca. Otherwise, most of the eastern bloc stuff was available with exception like the Syrena or Soviet ZAZ Zaporozhets. There was also difference in what was considered the norm, whilst in Poland it was the Syrena and later Maluch in Czechoslovakia it was always the Škoda and other cars of the 1-litre class. In fact during the 60s Renault 8 cost the same as the Škoda 1000 MB; 44 000,- Czechoslovak crowns. --- Post updated --- Also, Tatras 603 and 613 together with Volhas were always available for sale but especially the Tatra 613 was way too expensive (in 1978 Trabant cost 36 500, -; Fiat 126p went for Fiat 126p went for 2 00, -; Škoda 105 L cost 57 000, - whilst Renault 5 cost 96 000, -; Volha 24 105 000, - and the Tatra 613 284 000, -! Actually, here is the full price list: http://www.moskvichklub.cz/mototechna77.htm
While not Eastern bloc these all remind me of the early '60s Morris ambulance. Very simple signal. At one point, it was just the light up ambulance sign and a bell, which eventually got a blue light, and two tones. More of a rapid transport than an ambulance though, I don't believe patients were treated in the ambulance unless it was severe. Perhaps you guys recognise this?
Of course, I do! That the Škoda Superb 4000 V8! Crown jewel of the late pre-war Škoda production. --- Post updated --- Which front end do you think is the best? Using models for convenience.
He looks like a stout scarab a little bit. I think it's the headlights and the grille that reminds me of this thing. Truly peculiar
