How do you do that? I used this mod all the time before the update and never could spawn more, repair, or anything else than drive away without making the ai think "chasing the player? well, im just gonna have my coffee break for the next 8 hours." xD
Just open lua\system\simpleAI.lua and after: Code: local slotCount = BeamEngine:getSlotCount() add this (with a new line): Code: updateControlList()
Okay, first, don't be ungrateful. They sorted it out for us didn't they? Secondly, they did say it's a 'temporary workaround' for the AI, so it's only a primitive system
I'm sorry? Where I was ungratefull? I just pointed out that this mod fixes the problem, where I was ungratefull again?
You clearly stated that each time you change the vehicles or load a new map, the AI breaks again. Tone isn't easy to get across over a forum so apologies if that wasn't how it was supposed to be projected
What? How can you even recognise my tone, I was so happy and all while typing it, I just pointed out that you can easily fix this issue by installing this mod. That's all
Hmm, I just can't get the AI to work. How am I supposed to switch back to my own car before exiting the editor? There isn't a node that represents my own car, only some kind of spawn sphere? I've already confirmed countless times that the AI setting is enabled on the new car and tried both options for the Ctrl+T menu but clicking done causes nothing to happen and when I launch that menu again it is reset to OFF.
i have gotten this to work, but without clear consistency, but its definitely user error in me not understanding the switching between cars thing yet, but, to clear up some confusion about the AI box, you actually have to be fairly close to the vehicle, so you can see the BeamNG logo sort of inside the car, and then click on that logo. This will populate the box with the AI. i really dont feel like making a little diagram, MSPaint is a pain in the ass, but click that logo and all should be clear, at least box-clicking wise. good work on the original OP for this, its at least entertaining.
Howdy, just remembered a tiny dev team that managed to work out some pretty efficient pathfinding, skip to 0:23 hope this can help inspire beamng devs
Mine isn't working even after the update. In the wiki is explained but it don't work Where is this "Enable Al'?Is there another checkbox except "isAlControlled"? I'm making everything as it is described in the Wiki step by step but it doesn't work
