well, as i suspected there is a problem. most custom horn mods seem to use the "soundscape" method rather than the "event" method like the default horns. which not only means you cant have separate begining and end sounds to the horn (since you can hear a difference when you let go of the horn in real life) but it also leads to bugginess like what you see in this video. i seem to remember the satsuma AMP mod ported from my summer car had the horn from that game ported over too, but at some point it got replaced by a default horn since it was broken by an update at some point. it makes sense considering most horn mods i can find are extremely old, or prompt an error when i try to view their forum or mods page. (and yeah i checked out your forza horizon 4 horn mod, very cool but even you said in that post that they fade and bug out when you spam and all that. nope, no hotfix has fixed it yet lol)

is the ETK800's inline 4 based off a N20? doesn't really sound like one. figured the 800 would have the equivalent of a N20 since it's technically a BMW

He's using whatever sounds he can find, and I highly doubt anyone would upload a video of their BMW 4-Cylinder on YouTube.

Yes, anyone can help him with videos of camera sounds on the exhaust or dynamometer, but the i4 sounds of this mod are perfect

Open the mods folder for BeamNG in mod manager, then download this file and put it in the folder that says ‘mods’ or ‘repo’.

suggestion: v8 for the d series/roamer/h-series, and a classic v8 for burnside, barstow, and moonhawk

There's also the fact that nobody in their right mind is gonna flex an I4 BMW.

Here's a pretty high quality playlist consisting solely of engine/intake noise. The microphones are great quality and this specific individual has more than 140 cars in the playlist. Hell, there's even plenty of rev limiter action if you ever decide to implement separate rev limiter sounds. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLb2dVp8j-5JKj_QkcqaJs5PqJscV01-6G

I don't think we have a car in BeamNG that could necessarily utilize a Coyote, seeing as it revs to 7,000 RPM on a normal Mustang GT, but the sound is okay.

I don't know man there's actually quite a couple I4s that are nice. The M3 E30's S14 comes to mind.

the problem is actually finding a good usable recording though. and besides, the i4 sounds in this mod are pretty much finished now

in case of scintilla, off load is good, onload is a mess, my honest opinion, i messed with sounds (a lot), and tbh merging 2 sounds that have different pitches, ain't gonna work good. I definitely hear scintilla artificial samples overtake at high rpms. idle-lows are good tho.
Scintilla's sample itself are the problem and Fmod's artificial RPM match goes way too sharp on pitch curve

i know exactly what you mean, but it doesnt occur on the scintilla nearly as bad as youre describing it. i didnt use the artificial sounds that the scintilla has by default, but i did use the deprecated v10 sounds from the 0.16 update if thats what you mean, i didnt notice them going sharp though. the best thing about my mod is all the sounds are accurate in terms of pitch relative to rpm. so you can easily merge 2 sets of samples and it wont sound wrong. there may be some slight overtake in parts but thats mainly because the original sound (from the video i used to make the sounds) wasnt at a consistent rising/falling rpm so i couldnt pitch shift it to be exactly one rpm. its usually not noticable when doing fast acceleration, and most of these artifacts will be fixed at some point. never had people complain about that on this car before though, and ive even had people say it was their favourite sound from the mod. also is it possible that youre mistaking the sort of "phasing" sound of the original exhaust with pitch incorrection? id reccomend you listen to the actual files if you havent already just to clear that up.

i have seen these and have used some before, and youre not the only one to suggest it. they are very good but on some there is slightly too much road noise for it to be usable, and some of the cars dont have enough deceleration/off load sound for it to be usable. some also rev way to fast for it to be usable unless i used granular synthesis, but that requires a much cleaner recording where road noise and the added reverb on the videos (since they are ultimately meant for asmr) doesnt interfere.

P.S. i think you could balance the loudness, that high volume transition from 6k to 9k. Vtec kicked in yo. It goes from serial supercar to track spec exhaust in 1k range

that 2 cylinder fundamental frequency is throwing me off a little bit, other than that it doesnt sound much different

that 1-2 cylinder is my own lifehack for interior. Outside you won't notice it below 15 value. But muffle-bubble amplifies all lows so you kinda feel the low bass going from the engine.
