Re: [wip] Off Road Race Vehicle: Ensenada Tormenta Try loading on another cars N/B I've seen a few people do that when just getting the body in game before making their cars its own N/B Hope this helps. For this I suggest loading the Gavril D15's N/B for Elvisnake is using the Civetta Bolide's N/B to see how his car would look ingame I suggest you try it
Re: [wip] Off Road Race Vehicle: Ensenada Tormenta seriously though, if anyone could help me with this "loading main" problem that would be really nice.
Re: Off Road Race Vehicle: Ensenada Tormenta Looking good! I'm really excited about this car. I've always loved trophy trucks and have been following this thread since day 1 (well day 1 of the old thread lol)
Re: Off Road Race Vehicle: Ensenada Tormenta EMERGENCY i am having a problem with the beam/node structure detaching from the car it goes like this i load up the car all is good all is well and centered and then it hits the ground and the mesh detaches from the structure it would be very helpful if someone could help me with this major problem i am having. thanks
Re: Off Road Race Vehicle: Ensenada Tormenta Does this happen when in the editor or while in game? I know rotating the car in the editor causes a similar problem.
Re: Off Road Race Vehicle: Ensenada Tormenta Happy people like you are on here doing the things i wish i knew how to do.... I personally love trophy trucks..... I am starting by attempting to learn how to use blender... then all that other crap -.-
Re: Off Road Race Vehicle: Ensenada Tormenta i had to move the cars position in 3ds max if thats what you mean. but other than that it's all ingame.
Re: Off Road Race Vehicle: Ensenada Tormenta What about pressing J (pause physics) before loading it. Just a thought i had when skimming the read. Other than that awesome work so far man, this is almost exactly one of the vehicles i am making my map for. I tend to start again on that very soon after seeing the progress of this. After all there will need to be a short-course off road track for it to put down sum laps on .
Re: Off Road Race Vehicle: Ensenada Tormenta Hi, Try to open the .dae with a text editor and try to change: <up_axis>Y_UP</up_axis> Into: <up_axis>Z_UP</up_axis> Or switch Y with Z in your modeler if possible (I use AC3D, which does not support this so I have to do it manually in the .dae) The Z axis should be facing upwards on the model in your modeler; X+ = left Y+ = back Z+ = up So rotate your model to suit this. Let me know if this works or not .
Re: Off Road Race Vehicle: Ensenada Tormenta this happens. im gonna move it in 3ds max and see what happens afterwards to answer the other question it was in game (not t3d editor)
Re: Off Road Race Vehicle: Ensenada Tormenta But does it still make awkward movements ingame? Or is it just placed incorrectly? if its only placed incorrectly it's only a matter of lining up the mesh with your nodes. And Z needs to be UP in your .dae, or else it will move in a strange way around your n/b
Re: Off Road Race Vehicle: Ensenada Tormenta i just finished lining up the nodes and flexbody with z axis still pointing up and it still does those awkward movements. only when rotating though. [edit] this is what i have so far in the truck so you can see yourself [edit] basically while Z was up i moved the model to match the nodes and it still is moving awkwardly
Re: Off Road Race Vehicle: Ensenada Tormenta Did you do the Z_UP thing in your .dae again after re exporting? [EDIT] just got home an looked, you didn't do it. I just tried it with the Z axis as up (the way it should be!) and it doesnt have any akward movements apart from it being centered incorrectly and your chassis not being 100% rigid.
Re: Off Road Race Vehicle: Ensenada Tormenta do you know if there is a better and more accurate way of moving the mesh to fit the nodes instead of moving it in 3ds max.
Re: Off Road Race Vehicle: Ensenada Tormenta i just lined up the flexbody to the node/beam chassis and did the Z_UP thing you told me about and it still is doing wonky movements. look for yourself
