It will be released once it's done, there is no "realease date" for cars, or actually anything at all.

I also believe this car is far from finished and certain other vehicles have priority right now, so don't expect it any time soon.

I have to say that out of all the cars in development this is probably one of my favourites. It feels like something I'd actually see on the streets since I'm not American.

Very nice looking car. Looks like a mix of a VW Santana, Audi 80 and BMW 5-series.

Crash test of a VW Santana at 35 mp/h (HD) The car deforms quite severely in this frontal crash test and its only at a low speed.

In the following video the same kind of vehicle is going more than 100 kp/h (60mp/h) and there is some weight added to the car.

To everyone talking about the IV Esperanto, that was part Cadillac Seville and part Lincoln Continental with some other mid-sizes thrown in - in any case, 100% 'Merican and not German. If you have to compare this to a GTA car, think of the VCS Sentinel. Observe:

Just a note: If you plan on keeping it as is (US Spec), It HAS to be model year 1984 or newer. Aero headlights were illegal in the states until Ford got it changed for the Mark VII. I would say use four standard 6.5" x 3.9" rectangular seal-beams or 5 3/4" round seal beams if you want it more BMW-like.

    I'm well-aware of the headlight regulations ;) I think this'd be a 1985-1989 sort of car.

I agree, too. Just look at the grille, placement of the headlights, and, most of all, the indicators/blinkers. Those look exactly the same.

No question it's a BMW, though I (and apparently the IGCD) thought of it as a E23, mostly because it's kind of big - just a little shorter than a Greenwood (Fifth Avenue/Dodge Diplomat)

GTA cars are less 'generic' than Drive's cars - they are specifically meant to represent a model of car rather than a 'purpose'. The ETK is just a German executive sedan and not specifically BMW - it has Audi influences in the front. If it was to be a direct BMW stand-in, it would have quad round/rectangular headlights instead of aero lights.

This is one of my more anticipated vehicles, anything that is FR and has a capable chassis gets a yay from me. The idea of a 2.4l inline 6 sounds quite appealing to (I look forward to the final sounds:)) I will look forward to the release of this, so I can drop it on 14 inch ATS Classics:p

Wow, that looks really good actually! And I think Gabe should make more versions of his cars, like a 5-door Covet and multiple cabs for the D-series :)
