Let me ask you this, would you prefer to know about a BeamNG update from the beginning and then have the idea scrapped, or would you prefer to be surprised with teasers and then the update? Also, his last thread lasted 2 maybe 3 days. That is not a lot of time to show slow progress, or much to skim through to learn anything. It was literally just 7 posts. You don't learn much from 7 small posts. I am also trying to defend the guy nobody defends... I made a huge mistake and I only had 1 supporter. If I did not have even that one person, things would be very bad for me. So this may not be a huge mistake but my moral compass says, "defend the defenseless when you can".
Well, I mean it’s not all bad, I defended him last time. (which i feel bad for being a bit evil then) (sorry for calling you grumpy lichi) But it’s kinda not really the best scenario that it’s happening again now.
BeamNG official updates are much different than mods (but it would be much better to just... get the update imo, I don't require previous notice or teasers). Also, this comparison doesn't make much sense. But, at the very least, if a mod is being teased, that has to be made clear. Post screenshots of real progress. That's all you have to do. Notice how other threads that show proper progress/ start in the proper area/ wait until they have progress before showing do not have these issues. Defending is one thing, but this is just makes no logical sense. He made a mistake, we show him what he did wrong, we all move on (and hey, if he moves the thread to the proper section, he'd most likely get the support and constructive criticism he wants for this mod!). There's no need for defense (the people saying mean stuff, I can understand going against that. Just not the valid, logical points). But all of that aside, best to end that here, and to the creator, best of luck if you do another project (and be sure to post it in the proper thread, linked above with a bit more progress if possible).
It just bugs me that people treat these mistakes like they robbed a bank, and should be looked down upon like they shouldn't exist.
This response - "yea this aint going anywhere" isn't helpful or useful at all, I don't agree with this type. This response - "You need significant progress. Please. If I made a thread for every idea I had I’d be making 2 pointless threads every week or so. Try to first commit to the mod and make it for example drivable with the general visuals of the car, then make an entire thread for it." is more helpful, fully agree with this one. Lumping all of the criticism together as the first one's type is what causes long exchanges like this. (I will no longer respond, as to stop bumping this thread up on the list)
