About names of cities being fictional, There are some things that hint at the fact there are real cities in the game's universe. TV Prop's texture out loud mentions "Tokyo" on it, so assuming that's there, then there's far more real cities there than fictional.
Oh, I didn't notice that,It seems acceptable to use real place names. But I think you should still put the production place in the south of China, where most Japanese brands make joint ventures. It's not difficult to just change the name and place. You can change your name to "GAF", which is "广州汽车制造厂"in Chinese.Located in Guangzhou, China, in real life, Toyota, Honda and Mitsubishi have all built automobile factories here.
Thanks for a suggestion, but i kinda want to stick with Shanghai still. There was a factory there in real life and who knows what's happening there in the game. I'll still think about it, as i'm not fully decided if it should be Shanghai.
Made the badges, although i'll really begin working on the Chinese version once i'll change a few things with the suspension and brakes, add dynamic mirrors and cargo boxes. Notice that the Vitesse badge and "Ibishu" badge look almost identical to how it looks on the CrossSport, since the later version of the car will include a lot of CrossSport related components to make it slightly modern despite it's obvious outdated structure. The Chinese lettering is the manufacturer's badge, so when translated it says "Shanghai Ibishu".
Decided to replace plate dent on the trunk into a cut-out for a plate filler panel. DX trims will have the unpainted panel while the rest has them painted.
According to the custom of China, it should be "上汽依比淑", and "上汽" refers to the abbreviation of "Shanghai Automobile Factory" And "依比淑" is a common name for Ibishu by China players.
But this is indeed a popular way of naming in China, such as "一汽", "广汽" and "上汽"…… But in fact, there are no Japanese car brands that jointly produce cars in Shanghai.
Even still, it's a real state-owned corporation in China, not just a name. Google also shows the alternate translation "Shanghai Auto" which is more preferred since it doesn't mentions SAIC outright.
Well, that's fine.In the real world, there is indeed the name "上海大众", which means "Shanghai Volkswagen" By the way, I also want to point out one problem. According to Lore friendly, that corresponds to reality. Ibishu is produced in Guangzhou, not Shanghai. Of course, it's your choice. Foreign car companies cooperating in Shanghai are mostly American brands and German brands, such as GM and Volkswagen.
This is the second time you're mentioning this but it really doesn't matters in the fictional world. Also... that's a 6th generation North American and Asian model, not a European model. They're different.
Well, but they also brought the European version of the Accord to Guangzhou for production and renamed it Honda Spirior. ╮( •́ω•̀ )╭
In fact, the people of Guangzhou love Honda more than the people of Shanghai. I currently live in Shanghai, and I can attest that SAIC (Shanghai Automobile/上汽) has never produced any Japanese joint venture cars. On the contrary, GAC (Guangzhou Automobile/广汽) has established cooperative relationships with Toyota, Honda, Mitsubishi, Isuzu and Peugeot. I believe it would be more appropriate if the production address of this Pessima lore is in Guangzhou. We are also making some Chinese lore mods. I very much hope that you can adopt my suggestions. This will also bring us great help. Thank you.
Okay, now that there's two people saying the same thing, i'll just do it i guess. Although i'm still not entirely sure if this will really affect the lore friendliness of it. One company is real and another one isn't.
You can change that name to "GAF",Meaning "Guangzhou Automobile Factory" In Chinese, it is "广州汽车厂" The badge can be written as "广汽依比淑"
I'm sorry to disturb you, but BeamNG is a professional game, and the Lore of vehicles also needs to be scientific and professional, which will make mod more realistic, more professional and better integrated into the game universe. This is the artistic charm of this game.(*σ´∀`)σ It is always good for people from different countries to have rational discussions with each other.
