Got Utah running at about 60fps with simple traffic, I'm running at low settings on a R5 2600, 32GB RAM and RTX 2060 with Virtual Desktop, Quest 2. I'm so happy to experience the game in VR, just wish I could figure out how to reset driver view, I'm floating above the car and can't reset it. Had the same issue with Oculus link but it was too laggy anyway.

They do work, you just can't see them. When you get into Walking Mode using the F key, and walk up to an interactable, like a door handle, you can open it by putting your controller right on it (you'll know if it's on it because the door handle will turn orange) and then using the primary button on your controller.
    --- Post updated ---
Use CTRL+NUMPAD5 to reset the camera when in Driver view. That worked for me

    Hello!
The VR implementation has been a long time coming and I'm super stoked that it finally came with this update! But there are a few gripes I have...
    1. When SteamVR is turned on, the game doesn't automatically launch in Vulkan mode to be able turn VR mode on - nor do I get the launcher window to launch into Vulkan. I already know I need to not have SteamVR turned on for it to work properly, but I find this to not be a good implementation. Speaking of, if I launch the game in Vulkan, my VR audio doesn't hook up, so I have to use desktop audio.
    2. Driver cam lands me on the roof of the car, with other cams also being placed rather strangely.

I'm running the game's graphics in "cautionous" mode - medium settings, basically, for maximum functionality, I find. I should also mention that my game dev skills are seriously lacking, so I have no idea how well or not well these things can be improved on.
    Hardware: Ryzen 5 5600X, GTX 1080TI, 16GB DDR4 3000MHz, 1TB NVME SSD M.2, HTC Vive.

Also, CTRL+Num5 made no difference to get the camera inside the car properly.

Just tried it. I encountered a few issues.

    1. Entering VR in the menu, and then trying to load into a map, causes the game to freeze on the loading screen and not load. 3 minutes was the longest I let it sit there. Workaround: Enter VR mode after loading into map
    2. Flickering while looking around. I can't really call it a stutter, but it looks like one eye occasionally shows the wrong eye's render.
    3. Controllers don't seem to work at all, I only have the right controller awake.
    4. Re-centering the camera is really weird because it seems there is a deadzone of like 5 degrees in the center of your view. I'm not sure how to exactly describe it, but I can't get the view to be aligned with my wheel, it snaps in between being rotated a little too far left or right.

Everything else seems to work fine, I got very acceptable FPS on new gridmap.

    Specs:
Quest 2 running at 90hz, 4704x2384 res, airlink
    i5-12600KF
    RTX 2070 FE 8gb
    32gb DDR4 RAM

The issue is now fixed, just 2-3 restarts was enough. :D It was just that the force feedback just did not work at all. I got Thrustmaster T300 GT edition. After it started working, it so far keeps on working even with PC reset. Anyway if the ID still could be useful in any way I tried uploading it 3 times but every time it said I need and internet connection, which I apparently have.

This is happening to me aswell, but after several attempts I can get it quite okay. It does usually put me too high so it would be great to fine tune the height with UP and DOWN arrows on the keyboard.

On the Derby Arenas map I get about 20fps using the lowest preset, I am using a Quest 2 at a resolution of 2432x1216. Honestly surprised it even ran considering I'm using a GTX 970, I7-4790K and 24GB of DDR3 ram. To get a slight framerate increase you can go into the Oculus debug tool and disabled Asynchronous Spacewarp (ASW), dunno why it gave more frames but hey more frames are more frames.

Now I can't launch the game at all in VR. It worked before, though this issue would happen occasionally but restarting the game seemed to fix it. But not now. What the heck!?

I'm launching the game in Vulcan mode and then press CTRL+numpad 0 in the game menu but nothing happens.

    I'm on a Valve Index

I have the same issue except it never worked in the first place for me. ctrl + num 0 isn't doing anything and neither are the on-screen buttons.

    Dear BeamNG team,

thanks for the VR support. I have been looking forward to this. Today, I tried to set it up with my Oculus Rift: I connected and set up my Oculus Rift -> launched Steam -> launched BeamNG in Vulkan mode. I entered some Freeroaming session and used the hotkeys CTRL + 0 (NUMPAD). Visuals work amazingly, but I just can't get any sound.

Of course, I have checked if I have the correct volume on my VR headset. Also other audio sources don't seem to play any audio (I had another set of speakers connected to my computer at the time). When I exited the VR mode by pressing CTRL + 0 (NUMPAD) again, sound came back (in this case, it came back to my VR headset)... but, of course, the visual advantage of VR was gone again.

Any ideas how to fix the sound issue?

By the way, restarting the VR mode, BeamNG, or the computer did not resolve the issue.

This is listed in the Known Issues page from the first post: https://documentation.beamng.com/known-issues together with the workaround.

Both issues and their workarounds are listed in the Known Issues page, please take a look :) https://documentation.beamng.com/known-issues/

The 2nd issue might or might not be the exact same listed there, so let me know if those workaround and checks still yield no success.

Ah yes, this is to be expected. During loading screens, no frames are rendered, hence it might appear as if the game is "frozen". If you wait long enough, the game should load.

This might be simply the framerate dipping below the minimum needed for continuous VR render. If you use SteamVR, you can enable the debug framerate graph to check for those spikes/dips in framerate.

VR controllers are even more experiemental than VR itself. I've seen several reports that the blue spheres indicating their position, are not visible. Despite the VR controller spheres not being visible, you should still be able to (blindly) interact with the intertactive vehicle controls, by moving your hands around to approach the door handles and what not. They'll highlight as if you were using the mouse to interact with them, and after you're inside them, you can use the trigger to activate.[/quote]
First news I have of this. Please note that you can press-and-hold the recentering binding for continuous recentering, then lift the binding when you're happy with the location. Use that to try to better understand how centering works. Hopefully that works for you!

ASW is not a free feature, and requires the use of certain parts of the GPU. Normally ASW is quite cheap to compute, but if the game is already making use of that part of GPU hardware, it's possible the net result might be worse. This is extremely strange though, I wouldn't expect that to be the case.... please make sure you update to latest GPU drivers and Oculus drivers, just in case.

Please try using Options > Display > VR > Toggle VR, instead of the keybind.

The sound issue is a known issue, listed in the ingame VR-welcome screen when you activate it. The listed workaround is to restart the game for the new audio device to kick in. We hope to be able to fix this in some future update (we had the fix ready last week, but it turns out it broke audio for a huge amount of mods, and we had to roll it back, we are not sure when we'll manage to fix that fix).

Yes, I have been holding down the button, that is how I figured this issue out. I will try to get a video of the issue after my headset recharges.

Is this issue related to activating VR? Or is it just the usual problems with Force Feedback since a Windows update from some months ago (the one listed here: https://documentation.beamng.com/su...e-game-after-a-windows-update-from-march-2023 )

Im on Oculus Rift S. Everytime i enable vr mode my view is flying over the car in first person view so i think in the next update we need a height slider.
