The guy does quite a lot of motorway driving and is used to the diesel torque range, having driven a TDI Ibiza for years. Plus, there is no petrol 4WD Qashqai.
I wasnt very impressed by the recent diesels they dont really save money (for me at least due to taxes) and the performance isnt anymore than my current car (well the new one has nearly the same torque as the diesel i drove but has 96hp more than the diesel) but they did cost nearly the same so id personally go for the petrol even if youre driving motorway

Browse prices of well-maintained 1st gen Crown Vics now to see the worth of that. This thing wass worth some $5-8k, and considering there might have been dealer incentives for C4C buyers to get the most out of the problem, and that the car could have had some unseen mechanical problem(s), it might have been a decent deal. It definitely was not worth $20k, maybe unless the buyer was high. Why do you care? It's not like you were going to buy it, some guy got a good deal.
i care because i feel sorry for a great looking 300ZX being traded for some stupid KIA they arent many MK1 300ZX´s on the road today
How many Crown Vics with such mileage can you find? (Well maintained 100000 mile car is not comparable to a 5000 mile car). And I don't see why can't an almost brand new 25 year old fullsize sedan cost $15-20K, I've seen similar german cars with 5-10 times more mileage sold for that price. There was a small probability of mechanical damage, but even with damaged drivetrain, this car would still be worth more than $4500. Mechanical damage is not much of a concern when a car has perfect bodywork (which is much more expensive to restore) and low mileage, which adds a lot of symbolical value (and the next buyer wouldn't have known about replaced drivetrain). Why do I care? Because a 25 year old time capsule was destroyed.

C4C took place in 2009, back then that Crown Vic was nowhere near $15k, only in recent years did they start to go up in value. MOST cars that were scrapped in that scheme weren't worth as much as they are now. It's sad to see that something like that took place but almost nobody cared back then, it was only later that everyone realised that the damage had been done.
