EXTREME OVERHEATING

Well, right now I'm tweaking around with the multiplier and voltage settings on my laptop. (Because the way Dell set it up the thing didn't even go the speed it's supposed to..) I even found an extra 100MHz. (At just 1 volt!)

But running Core Damage right now and it's getting up to 200f.. Kinda worrying.. Only gets to 140f using the stresser inside the program I'm using. Huh.

I usually have good luck when it comes to overheating components. Years ago I had a crummy Presario R2100. (Still have it. Broken screen.) Once a little bit after turning it on the thing started smoking. Lived for another month after that. (Messed up the temp sensor or something because it would shut off after warming up) (Then swapped the AMD board in it for a better Intel one)

Then my old GeForce 7600GS. It had a crappy little push pin heatsink. One of the pins came out and it was running at 250f for a week before I noticed.

 

oh yeah, the one that seems to decide its on 25 all the god damn time. 1 divided by the frame delay from debug seems to get correct FPS (or just go on the other FPS screen thing)
