Need some help here. At first it installed but when I unpacked it, it didnt show in the Freeroam menu. Then saw a video about putting it in the Level folder inside the Content folder, which didnt work either. I put it back in the mods folder and tried to unpacked it but now I only get a bunch of "Error extracting files"
Been trying to do just that for the last hour and a half. Its not working. I've deleted, redownloaded, and put the file in the mod folder about four times already. When I unpack, I just get an error saying "No mapping for the Unicode character exists in the target multi-byte code page"
I knew I was doing something wrong given that everyone else got it working lol Anyway, I deleted and redownloaded the file (not unpacking this time) and it works now! Thanks!
This map is good, but the only thing that is stopping me from playing it is the slippery roads, other than that its highly detailed and good
I am aware this is a WIP and many items on the agenda to complete and it was only a map for small vehicles, so I have a Question....Is this map going to accept the T-Series Trucks and all Trailers at the final stage to drive around fully....just asking Had a Tunnel crash with the high top T-Series Truck and load in the City Tunnels as they had low hanging items....so thought I would load in a smaller / lower T-Series Truck and low profile load and managed to get through the City Tunnels until I hit an 'Invisable Obstruction'...lol see attached screenshots. Apart from this it's a thoroughly enjoyable experience driving around this map in the T-Series Trucks, awesome work BeamNG --- Post updated --- I really think it's personal preference as to me it's great the way it is, after all it has just rained and the roads would be slippery IRL so this to me makes for a realistic driving experience....as opposed to the YT Video I watched rescently of NFS Most Wanted Fairburn Airport (2012 Video) where the racer was evading Police, but to me the driving, while very fast was unrealistic and he had to much grip in the wet when driving around. BeamNG is a realistic Simulator to me and would not like it to go down the Arcade route, but having said that, it's not my decision in the end ....these are only my personal opinions and everyone is entitled to their own thoughts, thank you for expressing yours
what graphics settings are you guys usin. not complaining, my pc is a dinosaur at this point but def wanna know what setting is the most resource intensive
At least you got a big Dinosaur, I've got a Hamster in a Wheel...lol....joking aside, I have everything on High for image quality, however I can not have any Traffic on as FPS drops to below 15. I get approx 25 - 35 FPS on Fairhaven with just my vehicle and this will also depend on where I am on the Map. EDIT: I also get random but regular stutters when driving around.....( probably the Hamster coughing and weezing...lol)
I was wondering. Would there be a possibility to include a nitrous mod that would possibly function like in MW2012 with maybe the UI aswell.
@Car_Killer Thank you for this phenomenal job, best beam NG city map to date. The lights are beautiful, time of day cycle is spectacular. Waiting for the terrain textures to be worked and this will be a huge thing. I mainly use it for cruising in triple screen with a good car culture music playlist.
Anyone have massive fps drop / freeze every 20 seconds? Even in same sections after map is loaded I think it drops /freeze for a moment. I'm using 5800x3d 7900xtx 32gb ram

I'd like to report a bug: BeamNG is unable to load some of the songs due to their names (error: ) Code: [string "levels/fairhaven/lua/playMusic.lua"]:54: No mapping for the Unicode character exists in the target multi-byte code page. I have traced it back to the song: Code: Poliça - Violent Games.mp3 but I did not test all the other files. The easiest solution is probably to rename them to be ASCII only
there's a very minor flaw with the map, it's that the sun is in the opposite direction. very easy to fix. set the Orbit azimuth to 11, under SunSky on world editor. it's very annoying because i can't change the position of the sun for replays.
I found these billboards / large signs near the entrance to the airport, is this just a joke that I dont understand or is it a remnant of something else? It replaces another texture so I've got to assume it was done on purpose, however it looks unfinished as the bottom of the image appears cut off.
I really really enjoy this map however I have two things I would like to see different: 1. Dry roads as a posibility 2. Removal of the ''Restricted Area'' fences. Other than that it is perfect and my most favourite map! With some tweaking its going to be even more wonderfull.
