Looks like that image has bloom enabled, do you have that on? Or it might be graphics settings or the area you're in.
Hey car_killer! I don't usually comment on posts in the forums, but dude, revisiting Fairhaven, with NFSMW2012 being my favorite racing game of my childhood, and seeing it brought to BeamNG brings me tears of joy. The nostalgia is insane. Definitely the best map mod I've ever played in BeamNG, with such amazing attention to detail, including the crash cam and radio. It brings me back to the original NFS2012 times. Thanks a lot for this map, and I really appreciate your work !
One of the best mods ever (playing the game since 2014) especially when combined with other nfs mods like the cam, the UI and the cars, I found an issue while playing, when you respawn your vehicle after the crash cam is used, the crash scene keeps going. Hopefully this report helps you improve, Amazing work!! and thanks for not making it paid .
So how are you going to manage porting the traffic and police vehicles to here considering that they're basically NPCs?
If you press esc, there will be imgui menu where you can enable or disable radio. You can also skip songs by pressing "B". Yes, when it's in a presentable state Crash cam will go away after your car is stationary for a few seconds. I should have force brakes in it And how could I make it paid? It's not my assets, if you look at it, all assets are technically "stolen". I only merely ported it to BeamNG, because I like Criterion games, and I wanted to enjoy it in BeamNG. You never should ask for money when you just port stuff, doesn't matter if it's a map or some car with Forza models. Well, best way would be converting models and materials, putting them on a simple traffic jbeam and creating custom Most Wanted 2012 vehicle group that can be spawned only on this map from the existing imgui menu. I already have all models ready to port, so that's the easiest part.
Dunno what to tell you, just dropped the map's ZIP file into the Resources/Client directory like any other mod and set the map in the BeamMP-server config to Map = "/levels/fairhaven/info.json" and it worked perfectly first go.
Simply amazing, an amazing looking map, with amazing roads from an amazing game (probably my favourite NFS game). I think some ui effects when repainting would be cool, and the sidewalks could be a bit more forgiving. Also, aren't gas stations supposed to repair you? Not sure if that's possible but would be nice
None of the downloads seem to work for me? Google Drive says too many people have downloaded the file, One Drive just give me an error, and Mega says it's too large and requires a premium subscription.
I absolutely love maps like this. I think this much effort has only been put into WCUSA and this map, which is why these two maps are my current favorites. We just don't have many maps that just allow you to drive and race down some city streets (probably just because they take so much effort). I'd be willing to pay for maps like these.
Loving the map so far. I just have one thing that bother me. I know the game roads were wet in the original, but I wholeheartedly HATE the water physics in beam. Would there be a way to make the road not wet? It makes some configs of mine (including my default car) almost undrivable, since I like to play with low downforce vehicles.
