Huntington** That's where I currently live. Bedford/Katonah/Mt. Kisco is where I am looking to relocate. Just put my 2 weeks in at work too, about 10 minutes ago. Gotta get my house ready for sale
This is why you gotta keep your head on a swivel while driving. Yes to me based on the story you told it might not be your fault. A piece missing though is did she have her blinker on if so you should have seen it and not pulled out if not we're right where we were before where it is her fault.
Its kinda one of those accidents where it's hard to tell. The insurance company probably would have called it a no-fault accident. Both parties have to cover their own expenses (unless of course they have collision insurance).
she even told me that she last minute made the merge into the right lane, meanwhile I was pulling out for about 5 or 6 seconds. I have a stick so I was slowly riding the clutch. slowly creeping out into traffic while I was looking. She just didn't see me I guess cuz when she stopped and got out, she was like "OMG were you pulling out of a spot?" So she didn't see me pulling out and decided it was a good time to merge. Not really no biggie I got all the new parts already and will have the car painted today at work. Just got here, and most likely all I gotta do is throw the paint guy like 100 bucks and he will spray the fender and bumper for me. Ill be in charge of the final wet-sanding and polishing, so I don't get any ugly orange peel. As far as I know it can all be done today.
Sorry. Women shouldn't drive SUVs unless they have some experience.I remember this one woman ran into a ditch and half of the thing was in the air. Lol. But that woman can look down on cars and see instead of look at the sky.
No one should drive any large vehicle with poor visibility with no experience. I remember the first time I drove an f-150 and was worried about hitting things. Then the 350 which makes the 150 look tiny again same sort of thing at first. The key to any driving is being able to know the size of your vehicle and also paying attention to everything.
It's best to learn to drive in a large vehicle, if you ask me. A lot of people don't have the opportunity, I know, but a large field full of little hay bales makes a great place to learn. It really teaches you to think ahead when you have to move 360lbs worth of hay bales because of a wrong turn, or pay for every bale you run over. On the other hand, driving a small car scares me now, I don't feel any more maneuverable in a small rig apposed to my 3/4 ton Chevy pickup, I do however, feel like I'm going to get crushed by every log truck I pass.
I agree as long as you're learning in a safe environment and not putting others at risk. I learned in a Mazda 6, a minivan and a Malibu. Then when I got jobs where I was driving trucks I learned rather quickly the size of them and how they do handle differently than smaller vehicles. I'd say the first time you ever get behind the wheel of a vehicle it's better to be smaller just so you can learn how sensitive the pedals are and how to stay in lane abs stuff like that. Just because with something bigger is going to be closer to the edges of the lane and imo isn't the best idea for someone driving for the first time.
I would expect that someone who goes under the name of 'SHOme1289' would be driving a SHO. Am disappoint.
used to own 2 myself a 1994 and a 1993. The 94 was a 3.2 auto with a 5 speed swap and had a turbonetics turbo on it. Bought it already turbo'd. I really should dig up some pics/videos of it. Also used to own a 1999 Sable 3.0L 24V DOHC and a 2001 Sable LS Premium 3.0L 24V DOHC and my mom bought a Montego Premium (yup, 3.0L 24V DOHC CVT) and now my brother has that...Only has about 50K on it, it's a 2005. Back in the day my mom also had a 1992 Taurus (forget the model but it was loaded) and that was crushed from behind by a semi truck and she wound up driving it a quarter mile off the highway to a gas station off the Long Island Expressway and called the police, cuz there were no cell phones then lolol That accident is what started my obsession with the Taurus. The new ones are TITS! Check out some modded SHO videos. Definitely not a slacker, especially when modded. I think one ran a 13 second quarter. That's pretty quick for a sub-4000LB sedan with an auto. Also, there are some nice eoboost Fords running some great numbers...Theres a Ford Flex with the 3.5TT EcoBoost and that thing lays shame to the V6 Mustang/Camaro/Challenger/SRT Cherokee/Trailblazer SS etc. Youtube will confirm this, although the Flex video shows that the drivers of the other cars either cant drive, or the Flex is really that fast. Either way, My last day here at Chevrolet is tomorrow, so I am kinda happy about that since I really cant stand GM...Except, I had a friends 2014 Corvette Z51 Convertible for the last few days (gave it back last night), and wow, what a car. So fast it's crazy!!! Sick V6 Turbo Stang 600AWHP Ford Flex Turbonetics SHO
I have so much fun blowing people away with my dad's 96' SHO, it's stock but it's ridiculously quick, it handles really well too. Only 80k miles and on it's second tranny though. The new SHO's are a little too big for my taste.
