Released Fictional Trucking & Service Skin Pack - Discussion Thread 4.7

I made the companies a while ago for an unreleased Durham skin pack update, and also gave them to iretr0x for DFA, along with a few other skins.

 

Not sure if you’d know but I noticed iretro x briefly came back to the forums but his profile now says he’s banned again. I’m wondering what happened?

 

I'm not sure, I haven't been in contact with him in a while


On the topic of this thread however, the update is nearly ready.

 

The update has been uploaded and is awaiting approval on the repository. In the meantime, the no config version has been updated on the first post of this thread.

I need some help, the mod works fine with any truck that doesnt need one of the required mods. But when I use a truck that has a crane or utility upfit or double axles, those parts are missing on the truck or the truck doesn't even spawn in. I feel like im the only person having this problem so am I doing something wrong? And yes I have all the required mods downloaded and placed in the repo file.

 

You have to have the Randolph crane mod and the utility upfit from the Durham thread along with the other one for the MD-Series

 

On my end, everything is working with the required mods installed. The MD Utility upfit mod also requires the original Durham upfit mod to appear on the MD Series as listed on the download for the mod, but the main Durham mod is not needed. Otherwise, I'm not sure why the other mods would not be working for you.

 

hey top tier can you add the h-series school bus body and the entire liveries translated in other languages (including french)

 

Wouldn't that be in the Fictional Bus and Shuttle Company Skin Pack instead?

 

I may be able to to some individual French/Quebec companies eventually, but I won't be translating every single livery into other languages

 

Can I use the Garvil scout demo for this skin pack?

 

It might not work with the Scout demo right now, because the main Scout mod had an update that changed the skin materials, which the demo has not received yet.

 

would you ever make simple traffic versions of these skins? it will make the traffic feel more natural.

 

@Top Tier Studios, The Utility Upfit doesn't spawn on configs with them installed - even with "md_series_mduty" installed. I've unpacked that mod, re-applied the rear frame & upfit, reinstalled the mod, restarted the game, but no matter what, it still doesn't spawn. Maybe I should bring this up to the person who made that required mod.

 

Along with the MD-Series utility mod, the original Durham addon is also needed for the upfit to appear on the MD-Series. The full Durham mod however does not need to be installed.

Yeah, I haven't tested it yet, but it's something I'm looking at doing. It will probably be a separate addon

 

I realized I was just missing a mod. False alarm.

 

Just letting you know that any skins you made for the Sunburst are currently broken.

 

I wonder if you've acknowledged the fact that the shipping containers on their dedicated trailers happen to be high cubed, and that adding these little details would be a good touch.
