Just edit ...scripts\client\inputmaps\keyboard.inputmap.cs and switch the x rotation for the 4 & 6 keys
First impression, aside from it being amazingly difficult to get my Logitech Dual Action gamepad to work, was how disappointed I was to see the cars rocking from side to side at low speeds (just like RoR), on their faceted wheels. And how it felt like the whole demo was running through treacle, or underwater - so sluggish and unresponsive.
I just downloaded and played the Tech Demo for about an hour. I have nothing majorly wrong to report. I get a steady 30 FPS on an AMD Athlon II X4 645, AMD Radeon HD 6750, 8GB 9C Ram, Win 7 on max settings, 1080p. The customization menu works wonders and I must learn how it works. The only real issue I had was after I hit a tree at 80 mph and got stuck in it. I then proceeded to press all the Function keys from F12 down to see if one would take a screenshot. I think I hit F7 and it teleported the wrecked car back to the start. Turns out when I did that the placement on the props went way off from the nb. Wish I had a screenshot taken. I am definitely buying the Alpha release tomorrow. Doubt I will "play" it much, but something will happen with it. tl;dr: Great performance, 1 minor issue, will definitely buy Alpha tomorrow.
Well my first impressions. I can tell the vehicle handling has been slightly improved since RoR, but still has a LOT of room for improvement. Secondly...why are cars so bouncy? do they know what shock dampening is? Plus, either the cars are too light or the springs are too stiff, because it feels like I'm driving around a go-kart on springs and not a 2-ton vehicle. I would go in and edit the vehicle handling files, but I can't seem to find them. Otherwise, the map editor is great, debug screens are great (besides every debug screen having to show the visual beams on the vehicle..any way to change that?) and the maps are great. So it's a really great game, in a few ways quite improved over RoR, but still needs a bit of improvement.
I just have to say that particle-system looks fantastic i mean that it looks simple but used a stunningly particles from moving wheel \ ground \ brake smoke and etc (Thanks BeamNG guys) Fat-Alfie: Thanks for input script - now i can change controls for demo
There has been a lot of work put into this to get it to where it is now. However there is still a lot more work to do. As it is now the simulation is fantastic, the visuals are stunning, my only complaint is that body panels seem to be not as rigid as their real life counterparts, but that can be fixed easily. I am eager to see what is brought forth in the future from the Devs. Keep up the great work! -RoRlover11
i love the tech demo so far. have been streaming some of it, and will stream some more. ( stream ) looking forward to buy it.
hello. The game is awesome, I never saw something like that, I'm very happy with it, sure it gets better, I leave a little video of it. a greeting

HOLY MOTHER OF GOD. This is AWESOME!!! I've been playing racing sims for years and this kills it - - - Updated - - - HOLY MOTHER OF GOD. This is AWESOME!!! I've been playing racing sims for years and this kills it
Haha guys! I feel a bit silly now.. after i bought the alpha - i tried in demo F11 button and saw editor - this is insane : D this mean that: 1 - you can make a whole new level with demo content and 2 - i han enough demo without editor to be sure of buying alpha I also found all the settings are like - for control for camera etc also many c# scripts is open - it mean i can make new game-rule for level and any other stuff? (intrigued) this crazy stuff for 15 bucks - for developers and those who like to create their own levels \ vehicles, etc "it is worth the money"
I am on vacation so I can't play yet. I went on the hotel computer yesterday and looked at the time until the game was gonna be released and it said 2 hours! Obviously it's out now. I am really excited for it, I believe it will be even better than Rigs of Rods. The only thing: The game is gonna take my computer and smash it with a sledge hammer!
This alpha version is pretty damn good and surprisingly stable! Nice work guys! Though i have some concerns about the power usage this game needs when spawning other cars. I wonder how is the demo derby mode will be playable in the future with more cars for those who dont have a powerhouse to play this game?
Tons of fun! But it's not yet sim driving quality. Hope the devs will bring it there. As some of the people here wrote already, the cars are overall very elastic, seems to have no dampers, and the driving is too shaky. Maybe the camera move is too sensitive, maybe the road is too bumpy too. Hope the game engine is flexible enough to allow calibrations to bring the driving experience closer to the level of sim racing titles. This way it will have the best of two worlds.
