Much progress since you started this. Keep up the good work
True, that’s why it’s still WIP
so is it going smoothly or ruff?
It's starting to look like beamng's official car, but there are many things to correct!
Yes lots of things left to do. The mesh needs cleaning up (especially at the front fenders), engine bay isn’t textured yet, interior isn’t finished, JBeam skeleton has to be modified etc etc. Won’t be finished anyone soon, and it still is a big learning curve for me. So it is challenging, but also great fun to learn and to do!
Will there be sedan body?
Haven’t got one planned yet, but could be a nice addon for later!
Will it land to the repo? Or is it gonna be named as a ford?
I hope its gonna be a forum mod..no need for naming it with a corny name.
For now it stays a Ford Focus
After you finish the Ford Focus 2-Door Hatchback Non-Facelift,could you try to these versions?

These are all great ideas, but your asking wayyyy too much of the author. Settle down
Even though these versions are great ideas, it’s a but unrealistic to ask so much from me as it still is my first mod ever. Also, I’m still in the early stages of making this mod and making sure everything works as it should.
If you haven’t made a car from scratch, it’s difficult to imagine how much time and effort it takes to create even a half-decent mod.
That said, the 5 door hatchback and wagon models are already planned for future release. But like I said before (more than once), this mod is not even close to being finished, so dont expect too much too early.
What he said
Allright so cleaned up the extremely ugly spot at the front fender/bumper. Not quite there yet, but already a lot smoother.
Also gave the engine bay materials and changed the colours of several suspension parts to more realistic ones.
It wont be easy if you do it, but I recommend learning to use normal maps so you can put more detail into the car.
The interior already has some textures, and I’ve got more planned, also for the engine bay etc. For the larger parts (body coloured items) it was easier to do it this way.
The colourable map system used by the original Cars is something I still don’t understand correctly. Would be better to use that though. Oh well... maybe in the future
This tells something how to make details:
Problem is that at least I'm enough stupid not to have skills required to utilize all that, I would need step by step tutorial for dummies how to make normal maps, failproof edition
The real car certainly doesn't look like this...
I also lack the skills to do something as good looking as in the tutorial. Everything is written very clearly but I still have the feeling that his texturing/UV skills are waaaayyyy better than I'll be, even after lots of practice! His modelling skills are also epic by the way...
But hey, we all have to start somewhere
Agree, but keep in mind that the 3D model still requires a lot of smoothing/correcting to make it look more like the original one. The headlights are for instance a bit on the large side, the underside lacks detail, engine bay is not finished, seats aren't very smooth etc, etc.
--- Post updated ---
Spent some time today to redo a major part of the front end. The bumper, headlights and fenders have all been cleaned up and changed where needed.
A lot of these aren't even the same generation, let the guy carry on at his own pace, jeez...
