Force Feedback might as well be completely random.

Windows 10 64bit, Thrustmaster t300, 300+fps on low, read the FFB setup guide on the wiki many times over and tried all imaginable configurations in-game and drivers, reinstalled drivers, restarted windows, closed all other programs, verified game integrity, reset all settings plenty of times, used different 2.0 and 3.0 USB ports, front and back, hub and no hub.
Wheel itself works great with every single other game. I refuse to believe that what I'm experiencing is normal because there are almost no threads complaining about terrible FFB in BeamNG on the internet.
What I'm experiencing are very strong forces that seem almost random. Example: Grid map, car goes forward with reasonable speed. I turn the wheel left a bit, it stays there (but it should auto-center). It stays there for a few seconds and then does a SHARP turn all the way to the right limit and stays there. I center the wheel, but as I'm holding it and car is going perfectly straight, the force still tries to turn it as hard as it can to the right. After a few seconds, it "snaps" out of it and it's straight again. Sometimes it would turn hard left, wait a few seconds, hard right, repeat, even when you're going 10kmh. Settings don't do much difference. With max smoothing or no smoothing at all there is absolutely no feedback on bumps or crashes. There's no self-centering force.
Another note is that the FFB graph doesn't seem to correspond to what I feel. I see this strong zig-zag of red lines, but my wheel turning constantly to the left. I understand that those lines are claiming to send that exact input to drivers, but it's still strange that it works fine with other games.
I'm fully willing to provide with any additional info, since this issue is driving me insane.

Edit: I honestly don't know why, but right after posting this thread I tried switching update frequency from auto to the one that more or less matches my FPS and all the problems seem to have gone away. I guess I had tunnel vision for the last few hours and venting my frustration here seemed to take my mind off it. I guess I'll leave this here in case someone else will have the same problem.

    Try this:
Go to Options > Controls > Force Feedback > XAxis > Update Rate Limit, choose 100Hz, then click Apply
