Yes --- Post updated --- Oh and low-key if someone here is good at modelling contact me on discord (LHmocs_(PZ) ) Cause I'm getting tired of modelling so many parts that aren't in any game some help would be great
Oh and low-key if someone here is good at modelling contact me on discord (LHmocs_(PZ) ) Cause I'm getting tires of modl Idk yet. I wanna get it to a state I'm happy with but the car itself Is basically done I just gotta do a bunch of Shelby and saleen parts and airride still. I could release an early version only with factory mustangs but I'd rather wait since content creators I'd want to cover the proper mod
Respect that, personally feel there's already a lot there for people to be happy with provided the car itself is polished enough. Then eventually, thru updates, add the configs from the various tuning companies that work/worked on the S550. (And the race car stuff that was asked about before.) Again, no issues with you wanting to get it good off the gate as it avoids any headaches when the wrong people find things to trash on it...and then blow it out of proportion.
I have a question about this, will it have the dark horse version, and mabye some gt3 parts? If not then that's perfectly fine, just asking.
Maybe you could do that but add for now 2-3 non factory configs. Then, in later updates, you can add more custom configs. It would also take some load off: "i need to release all of this at once" vs "ok basic stuff is released i can work on updates over time"
I've already decided so nope It will come with all saleens, roushes, shelbys, RTRs, hennesseys etc --- Post updated --- Dark horse is a different generation of mustang
Hi everyone! It's been several months since I last posted here. And before you ask, yes, I am still contributing to the Mustang mod, as LoveHorizon indicated a few months ago. It's just that I have been busy with IRL stuff to no one's surprise, though I have done some work on my end and been kept informed via Discord as previously mentioned. So far, my contributions have ranged anywhere from making some skins and sourcing/modifying some obtainable models to providing general improvements and feedback/suggestions behind the scenes. I'll let some screenshots explain part of the work I have done thus far Secondly, I would like to address a question many of you are wondering, "when release"? I originally hoped for a release this year, but as the weeks (and then months) went by, it became clear that a 2025 release may not be guaranteed, simply because of the amount of work being put in throughout the year. What started as another quality of life update has essentially become another major overhaul to keep it up-to-date with the latest game updates. If there's one takeaway from working on this project, it's that it isn't too far off of what actual projects go through in a professional world. Things like what's in scope and what's not, what to prioritize for the release, what will be done for later, and so on. While there's still some work left before we can consider it done, do know that the revamped mod will still be released on the forums (probably next year if not this year) once we overcome the last few obstacles in the way and believe the revamp is ready for release. How do you know when it's out? There will most likely be a new, separate thread when the time is right, as LoveHorizon stated. In fact, I am in the process of creating a rough draft for the new thread's main post. It's quite a lot of work to go through, but it's getting there Next, I will clarify that some features, like a right-hand drive interior, a convertible body style, a proper facelift digital gauge cluster, and some Mustang variants, will not make their way to this initial release, at least by us. With the amount of interior customizations present, it would be a hassle to convert many of those to the other side, despite this Mustang generation being a global product in the real world. A convertible, while a no-brainer, would have been nice to add, though it isn't simply chopping off the roof and calling it a day; it would require extensive JBeam work, and then expectations would be to make a working soft top, which is easier said than done. I could go on for the last two, but you get the point. As much as I really wanted the ultimate Mustang mod for BeamNG with all the bells and whistles, that simply isn't the case in reality for a variety of reasons. That being said however, if you'd like to attempt any of these features (before or after the release), then feel free to reach out to either me or LoveHorizon. Any help is appreciated and, provided that the work is satisfactory and meets expectations, will make the mod even better. You will also be acknowledged in the credits for the new thread And finally, to address the elephant in the room, yes, there will be a paid standalone DLC for this mod at some point after the initial release. I understand this will be frowned upon by some from various angles and perspectives, but this was a decision LoveHorizon and I have ultimately decided after some discussion. Simply put, the amount of work to add in race variants like the GT4, Cobra Jet, and Formula Drift would need additional time and dedication to do them justice; they're almost like making separate vehicles altogether, sharing little in common with production models. For us to put minimal efforts into these just to say they exist would tarnish the purpose of the revamp. However, as emphasized in the past, this DLC will be completely optional and not required for the main mod, which will remain free and still include plenty of content to play around with, such as the factory and aftermarket variants. If and when it does come out (for a very reasonable price, mind you), think of the DLC as a thank-you bonus for supporting the project (as well as providing future motivation for the Aventador revamp LoveHorizon has put on hold and would like to get back to at some point). This approach is similar to how matissator released optional paid DLCs for his mods. In summary, I would like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding. We would rather go with a particular company's approach of pushing back the release date if it means the additional time allows for polish and cleanup to provide the best first impressions, instead of releasing a half-baked result now that does not fully represent the vision of the revamp and then waste even more time fixing issues that could have been spent on being productive. Nothing in life is ever perfect, and the work is the result of a few individuals working together. As always, the wait will be worth it
