Pleaseeeee, everyone! AMD FX-4/6/8 series CPUs don't show their temps as they should!
My brother's FX-8350 shows 5 Degrees idle when our room is at 20-25... Anything above 40-50 for those is already pretty god damn hot!
Take the temp it shows and add your room temp, it's not the ideal way of getting a perfect reading but it's pretty close. For example, my brother's maxes out at 40, make that 40+25 room temp and you get 65, which is fine. If it maxes out at 60 and your room is also 25, then it's 60+25=85 which is hot!

EDIT: I have a GTX 680 which is pretty much a GTX 770 and I get 60-70 fps on Rock Island with everything maxed out and PostFX, that should be your benchmark! (It's OC'ed to 1250MHz, that's pretty high, so maybe you get 50-60, it would be fine too)

well its around 30 in CoreTemp so i guess around 50 is the real temp.
tho i guess beamng just doesnt like amd processors, im going to upgrade to an i5-4670k.

There's not need to upgrade... It's a perfectly fine CPU :s
And my brothers PC (CPU: FX-8350, GPU: 2xHD7870 2GB, RAM: 8GB) runs BeamNG without a problem, maxed out and with PostFX on.

He plays at 1080p and gets 80-90 fps maxed out and with PostFX (over what I get with my GTX 680)
P.S. Note that I had to rip my hair off to get Crossfire to work with BeamNG (and still only gets 100% utilization in one GPU and about 85% in the other)

I can't remember for sure if it uses all cores when he's using only one car... I don't think so, but it uses all of them when he uses 4 or more, that's for sure :)

It doesnt use all cores with only 1 car.

In order to utilise multiple cores a piece of software must be written with that specifically in mind. By default BeamNG I think seems to use 2 cores + 1 per vehicle. So 3 with 1 vehicle, 4 with 2, 5 with 3 vehicles and so on.

A piece of software that is not written for multiple cores will only ever use 1 core, it will not magically run on all of your cores.

Do you by chance ever restart your PC? This could be a problem. Additionally, how long have you had your cooler? Cheap thermal paste can cake up after a few years. It happened to my old Dell, who set their BIOS to react like this. (LINK) He says it was caused by a bad processor, it wasn't. It was caused by bad thermal paste, which may have eventually caused the CPU to fry.

Was the game fine before you installed it? Maybe there's a chanced you messed up when installing it?

I used speedfan to measure my temps of my apu and it read below ambient temp. Speccy and Hwinfo64 seem to give accurate temps. try speccy

Actually, the devs themselves have said that beamng has 1core per car, so 4 cars should only use, 4 cores

That still doesn't tell us whether or not there are cores used for other processes.
