Because you are too scared to Come and do the competition with the EU brands . Only Ford was brave enough for that .
There've been many American Le Mans cars. A Ford Torino, Chevrolet Corvette, Cadillac Coupe de Ville, Chevy Camaro, Shelby Daytona Coupe, Dodge Viper, and more!
Because there aren't french cars export in the US. Last Time , it was the SM but it got sended back --- Post updated --- Did they set up a speed record ? No .
That’s just an excuse. You can import French cars older than 25 years or just buy the ones that used to be sold here. Y’all were too scared to fight hitler and now you’re too scared to race against 500 dollar race cars.
Also , Germany doesen't have much things to Do with this : Is it italian , because Ettore Bugatti is italian, is it french because it's made in France, or is it German because it belongs to Volkswagen now
Automobiles Ettore Bugatti was a German then French manufacturer of high-performance automobiles. The automobile company that bears his name was founded in 1909 in Molsheim located in the Alsace region which was part of the German Empire from 1871 to 1919.
"Too scared to fight Hitler" Two things to Say : 1. this is a Renault 2. Peugeot's Factory were mobolized to make German missile , but the Peugeot family aparently sabotated their OWN Factory, and at the and of the War , no German missile got out if peugeot's Factory. About the rest , fair enough , but it also dépends on who want it . And since Americans are .... A bit like 2/3 people (you include) , wellll.......
In case you don't know, the Dodge Viper did set a record in Nurburgring. It was 7:01 minutes, could be even less if it wasn't the tire exploding over its limits, but remember, that record is set with a manual transmission, rear-wheel drive and naturally aspirated engine. It's actually a car you can use to have fun all around. What about French cars? They're mostly boring. Also, Bugatti might be a French brand, yes. But do you know about how much a Bugatti owner has to spend each year? Over six figures of maintenance, most of them without necessities. There are more problems that Bugatti has in general. Look at this article (it's from 2019, I know, but still): https://www.hotcars.com/glaring-problems-bugatti-completely-denies/ Also, did you know that Tom Cruise is not allowed to own a Bugatti, and also whoever sells it to him isn't allowed too? Because he had issues trying to open a passenger door of a Bugatti Veyron in 2006, which his then girlfriend was sitting. There were a lot of issues like that with Bugatti in general, and since this case was special because it was in front of many cameras and stuff, they became aware and banned Tom Cruise from buying a Bugatti. The only good Bugatti cars in my opinion, are the classic Bugatti cars (like the 1930s or something).
The Mégane 3 RS has set up the record of the fastest traction car on the nurburgring. Walter rite and Peugeot teamed up on the 24hlemans and setted up the biggest speed on the straight Line. And at least , we have the Aixam Megatrack
But does the Megane 3 RS have a nice design like a Dodge Viper or a Ford Mustang? Absolutely not. Is the average production Megane (even this spec) as fun to drive as American muscle cars? Absolutely not. Are French cars as reliable as American muscle cars? Absolutely not. Are French cars more fuel efficient than American muscle? Yeah, but who cares about fuel effiency in sports cars? Also, Bugatti has a horrible fuel effiency.
They are not more fuel efficient, otherwise , their engine would be bigger . It is fun to drive as it's like a Time attack . And if American cars are reliable , then , why are there Thousands of japanese import ? Did we need an import ? No.
Well, the same thing I say about French cars in America. If they're reliable, then why there is no French cars in there other than the old ones in the junkyard?
Americans are right about that. Which countries have lots of French cars? Mostly countries like Iran and few others in the Middle East. You can see some in South America (where I live), but when their warranties end, they lose their value significantly and end up in junkyards. Why you don't see a 2004 Renault Clio anymore? Because they're not worth owning anymore, and I remember I saw a lot of them parked when I was in Elementary School. Now, I can't even see a 2010 Renault Clio or 2010 Peugeot 207 in the streets, unless they sound like they have engine issues. A Citroen C4 Pallas from 2008 used to be a car for those with more money, now you only see them as beaters or not in the best conditions ever.
There is are many reasons why most French cars aren't collectibles. - Reliability issues - Cheap interior - Unnecessary electronics that make them hard to work with - Many plastic pieces - Underpowered engine - Front-wheel drive - Questionable design choices - Lack of creature comfort - Death trap - And many more reasons that you don't see in American muscle cars usually. Also, do you realize that you've made a question if French or American car are better, but you still are very biased towards French cars when you're supposed to be impartial?
