you do realise that if they took the game out of alpha it changes nothing right. weve already had this argument 3 months ago
you do realise that mods break in basically every game when they get updated. If the devs focused on not letting any mods become incompatible development would basically stop because they wouldn't be able to change what they need to.
it is, go tell that to any map maker, or anyone in general, they'll tell you the exact same thing as me
That's your speculation! It must not be the case! Coming from Skyrim Modding (and the old and new game is finished... it's easier) Even if it was still updating...The Mods where working (most of them).
You're insulting someone that's actually made a mod and knows plenty more than you. YOU don't know gaming. You're doing something called bumping, replying to a thread that nobody has replied to for over 3 months. Let the thread die, and we can all be peaceful. As I stated before to the thread creator, if you think you're so smart and want to do a full release, which is complete bullshit by the way, you can go apply for a job there.
You are funny! I did many mods for other games myself and praised this community! You have not to decide what is bullsh*t and what not! It could should be finished in the next decade, and that is my oppinion! Respect that Spongebob!
ok fam. a custom map is a mod as far as beamng is concerned, if gatekeeping is your thing then go back to the skyrim forums and let people do their thing here.
Nobody says to an Leveleditor or Mapeditor created Map MOD since decades ...BeamNG does! I don't know why! But there is a difference! And also it could be both! No hard feelings, its not your fault!
What i mean is that there are some code that isn't written correctly, because they aren't inhuman. But it's still the mod the source of the problem, not the game.
The way I see it is that full release will come when the game is ready. In its current state there are things that need to be changed and are being actively developed. There are incredible upgrades in quality and optimization with each update, which would be much more difficult if they were locked into making sure mods don't get broken. Official content is sometimes still broken by updates, scenarios for example had some bugs in the most recent major release. The games that are in full release but still occasionally updated (like Skyrim) have no changes made to any of their major backend stuff. Its all just adding places and people, which are only assets and voice lines, no physics or graphical updates (and it shows). Full release is just a label, I doubt it would stimulate the modding community like what has been claimed. All of the people capable of modding in BeamNG already make mods regardless of updates sometimes breaking stuff.
modification = content added to a game by a 3rd party maps are just that, and they're mods. get over it, your opinion makes no sense and is based on absolutely no proof or judgement whatsoever
Good Points! But, i did'nt mean that the mods should NOW be compatible in the development state. 1.0 is not only a label (Then something is wrong aka nowadays each second game), it also means something, Like you described it: Finished Game + Minor Updates = More Map/Mod Compatiblity.
