Fun fact, if the owner doesnt retrieve his horse within 14 days then we legally own it under the Animal Act of 1974. Wonderful. RSPCA have decided that because it has food (apparently the pile of grass cuttings we have in one corner is adequate in the meantime) and water (we filled a wheelbarrow) it should be ok and can't be considered an emergency case so they won't take it. So if the owner claims it in less than 14 days that would be great, otherwise we're selling it.
Well, police already bashed the owners door down and found months of mail piled up so the owners have clearly buggered off somewhere, but they are gyppos and they do that, they come back eventually. So really its a case of them neglecting the horse and it escaping somehow, dunno if it vaulted a fence or something but it doesnt seem to have tried jumping our fence and its hardly a show horse RSPCA are taking legal action against them for animal neglect though (yet seem to have no concern about the owner taking it back from us??? although I guess that just means they get to rehome it properly in time).
new $100 bills from canada smell like maple syrup if you rub the ends together, try it! its an anti-counterfeit measure that is very hard to forge. although its mostly $100 bills, almost every bill in circulation now has this maple scent. they are also made of plastic, so they dont get destroyed in water, and dont rip.
The Bank of Canada has denied that they do on multiple occasions. I even pulled one out of my wallet just now to make absolutely certain and, sure enough, it just smells like plastic.
