Game does not respect Windows power settings (Also in 0.38)

In 0.35, if I set power settings to 'power save' from Windows control panel, I get 2200Mhz for my CPU while playing this game.

In 0.36 and in 0.37 game ignores the setting and runs game at maximum CPU frequency, I have set option Force high performance plan to off.

It would be more interesting to me if game would respect my Windows power setting as for most of the time 2200Mhz is enough for me to play this game.

In Farming Simulator game I can observe game respecting Windows power setting and I can save some electricity with lower graphics on days when electricity is more expensive, for BeamNG I'm playing mostly version 0.35 on such days.

Also I have bought game from Steam as well as Humble Bundle, with Humble Bundle it is nice as I can have .zip version of older game if new one comes with some challenges I have not prepared to handle.

Okay, it is fairly small issue, maybe even design choice, but for me it would be more interesting if games would generally respect Windows power settings.

Bumping as situation has not been improved in version 0.38 version of the game.

No, it is game version dependent.

Generally older games had more of this issue and newer games tend to respect power setting selected in Windows. Like Farming Simulator 2017 and 2019 or Ride 2 does not respect power setting, while Farming simulator 22 and 25 as well as Ride 5 do respect power setting.

With BeamNG most versions have respected power setting, but these later ones don't, there was also some version before 0.35 which did not respect power setting, but now it has been more fan noise and energy consumption as power setting is not respected, so I tend to play less as some games need more than 3600Mhz and then CPU is at 4950Mhz which does make CPU hot and fans noisy.
So I need to go to Bios and set core performance boost off to get 3600Mhz, but as most interesting games respect Windows power setting I can have core performance boost on and set power saver profile to get 2200Mhz, but as latest BeamNG versions do not respect power setting I get 4950Mhz and fan noise. Setting core performance boost off is then way to play BeamNG as 3600Mhz is enough to run the game, but as I am rather lazy I don't get to Bios and then play something else instead.

Now rather annoying is the fact that if I set CPU max frequency to something like 70% in Windows power settings, BeamNG still runs at 4950Mhz and does ignore even that setting.

In Win11 there is also another power setting page which is not in control panel, but it is super limited compared to control panel power settings, can't remember if that had more effect though.
