There still room for some more? I'd like to design my own but will only get time to in around a day or so. Hopefully all slots won't be filled that quickly haha. Either way, can't wait for this maps release.
I use Photopea because it runs in browser and I can't afford Photoshop, but there's a plethora of paid and free tools you can use. Many people out there use Paint.NET which is also quite a powerful tool if you know get around it. Don't waste your time on GIMP, though. Maybe the feature set is growing every other day, but the UX is terrible and you'll have a tough time learning how to use proper tools in the future.

There is only one black "box"... and that means this area should not be used for garage design as there is a TV screen hanging in that spot. The second picture is for details only...two pictures and a team logo. There is no “black box” here.
I think he's talking about the black box on the first photo. Also, based on the fact that Shadows put the text under it, it appears he thought the TV screen would be much smaller than it actually is.
