The Barstow is certainly an interesting looking vehicle compared to other similar American vehicles from the time. I find the widebody/largely flared quarter panels interesting too, not something I would have expected from a car of this type

I'm guessing being an 70's American car, it will use a sub chassis up front for coil and spring double wishbone suspension to mount to, with a nice solid axle in the back. Should be great fun round the corners;)

Love the design but I just don't like some of Gabe's window shapes. . this car looks kinda good but there is a lot of panel. There needs to be some Barstow logo on the space beyond the window like the impala logo.

Indeed. Btw we could be seeing this car sooner than we think; old muscle cars generally didn't use McPherson struts.

Unless there is some unknown progress Gabe has t shared. By looking at the pictures its no where near finished just the outside body design is made. Nothing else.

I also think the area around the c-pillar is a bit weird; I don't think it's possible to roll down this kind of shape of rear side windows and I think it has a very large area of glass. Also, I think the roof is a bit flat. Most US cars of that era that I know of have a notable curvature on the side of the roof.
Based on pictures of some 1970's US pony and compact cars (as a European I only know a bit about the more 'famous' US cars) I made some modifications on how the greenhouse could look like:

the 1st is a simplified version to look a bit like a 1969/1970 Mustang,
the 2nd to look a bit like a 1971 Mustang and 1970 Chevelle,
the 3rd to look a bit like a 2nd gen Camaro/Firebird (also the roof is a bit shortened)

I couldn't resist to make some coupe versions; the 4th is a simplified version to look a bit like a 1971 Mustang Coupe, and the 5th to look a bit like a 1st gen Camaro/Firebird or a Cuda/Challenger. The 2nd and 5th can be combined to look a bit like a Plymouth Duster or Ford Maverick.

All the sides of the roofs are a bit lowered. I also think if the area above the rear wheels is a bit more thickened (a bit like the 5th modified version) it would have a more sporty look

Please take this as an opinion, love the game and I wish all the devs good luck! :)

Why does everyone always want to change the design of these cars? It doesn't have to look like some other car. It's a Gavril Barstow.

Well it's not bad having many designs. Who knows, when this car comes out, someone may make a mod with that design. Plus, they actually look cool.

Hmmm... The only problem I have with it is that the front end is too square. Here's what I think it should look like:

    (Yup, that's an HQ Monaro)

The third one looks like a 1971 Nissan Skyline GT-R, but it looks amazing!

Far more differences than similarities. This model doesn't really look like one particular car, which is part of the reason why I love it so much.
