Maybe a camper shell? I'm not sure.

You should probably add a pile of tires in the back or something maybe?

Tyres, yeah! That's a good idea. I'll see if I can make that happen.

    Some updates for the day:

Bed cover (lid) - opens with the tailgate.

Some BeamNG branded beer for the Hawaiian surfer truck. Semi-transparent glass looks a little weird, but I reckon it's close enough.

I'm really thankful for all the suggestions! Keeps me from procrastinating too.

I don't know. I've always thought the ETKs would make good utes, but unibody construction and complicated design make them a bit hard to ute-fy properly. Perhaps if the ETKs are revamped in the near future (although they aren't that old) I might fiddle with the models and see what I can do. But for the time being, I don't have any plans; hell, I don't even know if I'll have free time in the future.

sorry to be a bit of a bother, but is the bubu pre-facelift going to make a comeback or stay dead?

I don't intend to bring it back anytime soon. The jbeam work was absolutely atrocious (well, it does comfort me that I've gotten better since last year, but still) and the "free 3D model" Cadillac that I downloaded off some website turned out to be a ripped video game mesh (I learnt that the hard way. Mod taken down, people were sceptical of my work after that) so I'd have to make the model from scratch. That's a lot of work, and I'd like to focus my efforts on what is at hand currently, so I have no intention of re-making the Cadillac - Bluebuck. (I'm aware that the body doesn't work with the current version because the "body style" slot was replaced by a conventional "body" slot, but I can't convert the old stuff to the new system; I'd have to remake the jbeam. So - sorry, no update either.)

First off, looks amazing. You seem to have nailed a 60's styled ute/pickup. My only suggestion would be to remove the chrome trim form the tailgate and single tail lights for a more utility look. And small things such as radio delete, single mirror, less chrome (base models), etc. Also, if you are looking for bed load suggestions, why not fill it with Australia's finest?

Maybe the camper shell could be like the Holden Sandman camper shell?

New, more utilitarian interior would be very fitting! I've yet to settle on a style for the rear end, partly due to problems with the original Bluebuck model making it a little hard to redesign, but I'll see what I can do.

For the beer slabs, will this suffice, or do I need more to quench the thirst of my friends down under?

Less is more when it came to early pick-ups. Another idea is the tailgate be body coloured with little to no chrome around the tail lights, depending on trim.

For the beer slabs, looks hilarious, I love it. But, looks just to be enough to start a party here.

Wouldn't really be cursed, the first Commodores were Opel's before the Aussies got them. Although there was not a ute version built.
