Re: Gavril D15/D25/D35 Stepside etc v0.4.1 The D15 off-road rolls really quick and seems quite realistic. I wouldn't worry about the Roamer being deficient in the roll over department, Gabe knows his shit. That being said, what is really annoying is folks ranting about how unrealistic the cars in BeamNG handle or act because they are brainwashed EA sheep. These vehicles simulate as best as possible real life functions and processes. Driving them around at 120mph is going to be depressingly realistic for the Adderall 2.0 generation.
Re: Gavril D15/D25/D35 Stepside etc v0.4.1 Ok, but the D15 was tuned to not roll over as much, sure if you are doing 120 mph on uneven desert, over she goes. I'm just saying that if you went full lock to lock doing say 75mph on a highway you will at least get wheel lift, the d15 doesn't even do that, so not all that realistic. I know what you mean by brainwashed folks or sheep, like how GTA5 had it's handling dumbed down because too many 10 year olds complained like the little *&^%$'s they are and forced Rockstar's hand on the issue. Was just afraid the same fuss would get kicked up here and we end up with same same handling for everything. It's a known fact SUV's and lifted sport utility trucks roll over, fact of life. I have no real problem with any of the other vehicles, understanding it's all a constant WIP, But for the D15 to have basically all rollover propensity removed it's fairly disappointing. And I'm not having a go at AR162B either, as I pointed out he made a couple of his modded variants more realistic by returning the rollover factor. P.s. I had to google Adderall, we don't have it in my country, thankfully. Case in point:
Re: Gavril D15/D25/D35 Stepside etc v0.4.1 There are a few things that could be done in a future version of the mod: 1. The auto-bed is broken, whenever i put a car on it, it slides off even with the parking brake on. 2. A mini station d series, Like a bronco. 3. a D55, It could be like a mini fire pumper or somthing. 4. a d series limo, It would match the Bruckell moonhawk limo I am not requesting. I am just telling you about some stuff you could do with some future versions of the mod.
Re: Gavril D15/D25/D35 Stepside etc v0.4.1 Awesome work as always, between this and your mods for the Moonhawk there's now a huge variety of vehicles for hooning ! Keep up the good work!
Re: Gavril D15/D25/D35 Stepside etc v0.4.1 My few suggestions (as I just resumed usage after moonhawk mod, good job on that) is we need the spotlight transfered (probably all ready done), a diesle stack (search if if you dont know what im talking about), taller guard rails that actually hold the cars back due to the inailty to strap them down, racing parts (slicks and such form moonhawk) and the medium super duity that hasdoubble cab and 6 in bed. also bed loads like the ute. and mabey trailer loads????? all off the top of head right now. Good job
Re: Gavril D15/D25/D35 Stepside etc v0.4.1 This happend after the latest update. The dasboard has no texture at all. It would be great if you look into it.
Re: Gavril D15/D25/D35 Stepside etc v0.4.1 Thanks! It's already been fixed. I want to fix some other things first (some mesh adjustments, mirror alignment, tires and other updated jbeams, and add the mod parts to the Roamer) before I release an update. And the Moonhawk is first. I expect it to be released sometime next week, I'm also busy with other things. Note the first screenshot is a bit outdated as I already adjusted the bumperlip
Re: Gavril D15/D25/D35 Stepside etc v0.4.1 Do you think you can release just the material file, or is there more than that that needs fixed for the dash to look normal?.
Re: Gavril D15/D25/D35 Stepside etc v0.4.1 spawning the d35 with the wedge ramp in 3.8.2 usually crashes or spawn the vehicle at the maps center its about 20% chance that itl spawn without doing either of those and if it does spawn good you cant change parts or that will crash game to also does it with the h series with box trailer and i would think it does same with the flatbed trailer and d35s flatbed trailer the moonhawk seems to work fine deleted cash a couple times does nothing dunno why it crashes but only does it this update though. in 3.8 it would crash once in a while but it wasnt every time i try to select a part on the dumb things hope ya can find the problem with them and fix it
Re: Gavril D15/D25/D35 Stepside etc v0.4.1 The dash is an easy fix, my mod refers to the the regular D15/Roamer map which is changed in the new build. It's an easy fix I can try to upload a new materials file this afternoon/evening, but the semi mirrors map is also changed and that can only be fixed with a new DAE. Thanks for the vid! I'll try to find out what the cause could be. It seems the orginal cars have problems as well like your vid showed, so I'm not sure where the cause could be. Especially if the program crahes and quits so I'm not able to look at errors in the console.
Re: Gavril D15/D25/D35 Stepside etc v0.4.1 Godamn I can't wait for your Roamer mods. This is just so ridiculously anxiety inducing.
Re: Gavril D15/D25/D35 Stepside etc v0.4.1 Well it's like my SUV mod and the D15 mod have slept together and the Roamer was pooped out having all added mod parts I only had to adjust 3 meshes, the rest of the parts had only to be moved using multi-DAE Speaking of that SUV, now we've got the Roamer, maybe it's nice to have a name for the SUV in line with the Roamer name (Like the Tahoe/Suburban and Expedition/Excursion) I put the Roamer name in Google Translate (actually Interglot) to see alternative names for a 'Roamer' or 'to Roam', it came up with to wander, to stray. So something like Wanderer, Strayer. What do you guys think?
Re: Gavril D15/D25/D35 Stepside etc v0.4.1 Wanderer for sure. "Strayer" is meh and I doubt many wives would be thrilled with it either. "Nomad" came to mind but that's uh.. taken. EDIT: here's some Drifter Pilgrim Wayfarer Gadabout Globetrotter Gypsy Meanderer Journeyer Gallivanter
Re: Gavril D15/D25/D35 Stepside etc v0.4.1 Wanderer sounds a bit odd because I associate it a pre-war german car manufacturer that later went to become Audi as we know it today. Now that the history lesson is over I think you could also use names of US cities and/or states. Michigan sounds grunty or you could go with Utah. Then there's names like Invader, Colonel, Ensign or TerrainMaster which sound good for a car like this.
Re: Gavril D15/D25/D35 Stepside etc v0.4.1 Trying to make it relate to the Roamer seeing as how they are the same...Roamer/Rover, Roamer/Roaver, Roamer/Climber? I actually like Aboroath's Journeyer idea. Roamer/Journeyer. It is a bigger vehicle so IMO, it needs a bigger name, and Journeyer seems to fit, or Climber.
Re: Gavril D15/D25/D35 Stepside etc v0.4.1 Thanks guys! I would like to have look a bit in line like the Roamer, so probably something with -er at the end. I don't want it to be an existing vehicles name, preferably not even an existing word. So no Wanderer, Wayfarer or Globetrotter. So maybe Meanderer, Journeyer or Gallivater (does that mean something?) or maybe Swerver? Also adjusted all mirrors so they work properly. Unfortunately your own car can't be mirrored.
Re: Gavril D15/D25/D35 Stepside etc v0.4.1 So does that mean you would be changing the look of the existing SUV? If so would it be possible to have those emodels still available or as something seporate? I have come to like them. (I still think Joureyer is a good name )
Re: Gavril D15/D25/D35 Stepside etc v0.4.1 To Gallivant means, according to google "go around from one place to another in the pursuit of pleasure or entertainment." I'm pretty sure it's only used in British English. Also "Gallivanter" is taken, it's the name of the Range-Rover parody brand in GTA5.
Re: Gavril D15/D25/D35 Stepside etc v0.4.1 How about Horizon. I know its not in the same vein as Roamer but it does invoke some sense of exploration.
Re: Gavril D15/D25/D35 Stepside etc v0.4.1 I misspelled "Gallivanter" back there. Tough to think of names without "er" on the end. I think the name should stick to the realm of Gabe's naming convention theory that I personally find comedic and downright hilarious.
