Mods like this take a lot of work and time to get done. Just wait for @powiephenom to make an update, im sure it won't be long but my quess is either at the end of the year or next year.
Its still being worked on. The next update will be pretty big to say the least, it'll come unexpectedly later on
I've taken a look at this mod since some time, and I'm quite curious of what's coming out, how's it going? And also will it have configs for road courses, short tracks and some others, like the Gen 6 by Solarpower? I really appreciate your work here, good luck with that!
Yes, there are setups for each style track just like the gen 6 car. As far as progress, its coming along well. As I stated earlier the next update will be big so it'll be a bit.

Nothing is going to be paid, or early access. It'll be released to the public when its in a state where it can be comfortably released without any mind boggling bugs or anything. Stay tuned, Its being worked on in silence for the next update
Yes I know I said the next update would be big but since Its going to be a little bit, i'm happy to atleast say that all the Jbeam, Physics and modeling work is complete finally, all thats left is the annoying stuff like props, custom sound, skins ect.
