Only way to do that would be to tune it to handle better with a controller or keyboard Its fully adjustable so if you know what your doing i would give that a go
I know i said i would have an update for the end of the week (today) but there isnt realy anything i can show. But i can give a small update and say that currently i am working on the main chassis jbeam file. I have writen it up and now it is just a case of tweaking all the values. I am redoing the jbeam structure for the third time because i made the last one a bit to complex and therefore quite laggy even though nothing was actualy being rendered in the game. We also have now got 2 engine options to chose from thanks to Mr carlosjr He had now made both restricted and unrestricted versions to replicate the two different engine setups used in NASCAR. There are many different areas of the project i have been working on and when i have something to show you next i will post it in the main article like always. I love hearing your sugestions and answering your questions so keep them coming
Just want to wish you luck with this project. I'm always happy to see the number of dedicated race cars increasing in BeamNG, and it's awesome to see one based around the shell of an official BeamNG vehicle.
Did a quick drawing of 1995 craftsman truck as I suggested previously highly un-detailed, but still cost me one and half hour though
Dude thats still pretty cool --- Post updated --- i have a question about textures... what resolution should the skin textures be, this is just for the outer layer of the body. the inside of the panels will be put on the main uv map
I realy want to make a version with the same front bumper as the one in your drawing now. Because seeing it like that it actualy looks realy good. Maybe if i find the time i will have it as an option. I already plan on having different bumper options ( one with a braced splitter and one like the one in the drawing) so i might aswell.
actually the Barstow isn't too much like it because a v8 9liter turbocharged is the one the used where I live in sydny ounce they brought some racecar trucks down for show and it seemed they were v8 9liter turbocharged from look and sound.
If we're using liters, the top three NASCAR series use 5.8 liter cast iron V8s, which at the time this truck is based off of mostly, were carbureted. There is no forced induction, any whine you hear is from the gearbox, which uses straight cut gears in real life.
I cant explain how excited i am for this. i used to be able to get into the trucks and rev the engine when i was younger. this would be like nostalgia.
Been doing a lot of programming. And finishing up the front suspension mesh Also trying to work out how to make a decent uv map for textures and skins
UM UM WAIT I DIDNT SAY THAT! If i didnt have school then maybe but at the moment i have been a bit to busy to get a lot of work done I have had to chip away at it slowly but its getting there In a month i will probably have all the uv maps ready I might upload them as everyone seems to want them
