Hmmm Sim racing for nearly 15 years now Been watching NASCAR since I was a child Have watched any video you could name that explains the aero, physics, and construction of these cars/trucks Yup, unqualified vs some random with the name "Kentucky Fried Chicken" (who also seems to want to get themselves banned instead of have a serious discussion, but that's not my business)
ALL I SAID WAS THAT IT WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE HOOSIERS!!! I AM NOT TRYING TO DEVALUE ANYBODIES KNOWLEDGE AND I KNOW THAT THEY DON'T USE HOOSIERS, BUT I THINK HOOSIERS WOULD BE NICE!!!
Cool. Nobody cares you're a 40 year old guy still living in his moms basement playing NR2003. NR2003 numbers don't match real life. Did you even go to high school?
Still waiting for my last post to be approved for whatever reason but eh Nope, they use Goodyear slicks that have been grooved, similar to these rules (Dont quote me on that) http://www.racingnews.org/14_0.htm While I think attention to detail is great personally, I also feel that just because its based on former NCWTS trucks doesn't mean that everything has to be exact. I see no reason why it can't default with Goodyear racing slicks, but also have an option of a different tire to make it similar to a short track truck. And considering how similar the chassis are, I could see this also becoming the base of different race car mods, such as a Cup and Xfinity car, and even adapted to tube frame or straight rail short track cars. There's no reason for the hostility in this thread
Listen, I think you need to calm down. Do you have a problem? Because I think you took an argument about types of tires and turned it into some sort of insult group for that poor man.
I agree guys no one in this thread cares what you think of each other I created this thread to show you the interesting project im working on So far the suport and sugestions have been great but just tossing random insults back and forth doesnt contribute to both the discusion, or the project in any way whatsoever. If you want to argue with someone on the internet who youve never met, then find another forum
We should stop bickering and be thankful for what is being created and not fight about trivial things, a car spun out whoopdie doo! PM eachother and keep it off the thread. OT: Hype is real though, made a skin for the sunburst for practice
Well that's a downgrade. From at least semi coherent posts to nonsense insulting / rambling. Real mature. Anyways, I'm out -- I'll leave you with this bit from a friend, who has relations with the rFactor 2 dev team.
I have considered it but i think i will have to make my own or at least change all of the properties of the drag tires because whilst they may have alot of grip, they dont have nearly that much --- Post updated --- Again... i think they use hoosier tires at the mud summer classic at eldora speedway Its a dirt track race and only the trucks go to it If anyone is interested i am willing to try and make some dirt track tires with hoosier written on them --- Post updated --- Love the skin But yes To everyone Stop the bickering Were all fans of beamng and all fans of NASCAR and we all want to see this get made I need you help Your sugestions are fantastic but please stop having a go at people for offering them Its not cool
None of my previous posts have been approved yet for some reason, but they used grooved Goodyear slicks at Eldora --- Post updated --- It looks really good to me, don't see why it looks bad at all
Do you have some kind of mental deficiency? It's all warped and the nose would create huge pockets of air.
I'm not saying its perfect but its really damn close to what 90's NASCAR trucks looked like --- Post updated --- --- Post updated --- For comparison this is a 1998 truck
You post doesnt help me in any way If you could please give me reasons i can actualy do something about it
Also if you are indeed going for accuracy I believe that the exhaust exited on the left side only, with an H pipe after the headers and the two pipes merging into one about 1/3 of the width of the truck away and exiting as one pipe
I think the older spec cars had them on both sides Its a simple fix but i was under the impression it was both during the 1990's
Here's an add for a truck that has some pictures that might help http://www.racingjunk.com/NASCAR-AR...ge=2&categoryId=77&offset=17&from=category#21
