That would be cool to add some lights, mirrors, break lights and blinkers, drop a v8 in it from a camaro and drive it around town haha. Or just drop a motor in it and take it to the track
Enough! This is a thread about making a NASCAR truck based on the FICTIONAL Gavril D series. can everyone please stop arguing! if what you want to say doesn't contribute to the project keep it to yourself thankyou
I worked on the modified thats my profile picture for a while (and will probably help them again next year when racing season starts again), the discs were about the same size with four piston calipers and there is plenty of stopping power lol
how similar is the suspension on that modified car to the NASCAR spec cars. if so some pics of the suspension would be super helpful --- Post updated --- IT DOESN'T MATTER! NASCAR trucks, thats the topic not whatever your arguing about
It is, but the front end is still bugging me. The splitters and braces weren't used until 2007. The trucks in 1995 had a front valance.
What new part? There's really no new parts needed. Remember, this car isn't a cross between a Viagra pill and dried chicken.
i know is stated this before but wont hurt to say it again, if your able to give us the uv files and etc for making skins that would be very cool for us skinners
I am considering having different configurations including different body styles both with and without the splitter. I want to include at least two engine options One with a ristrictor plate like in real life and one without so the engine produces more power I also might add dirt track tyres aswell as racing slicks
Im not even close to that stage yet but when i get up to it i am considering doing that Im not entirely sure how yet but il work it out when the time comes
I think you should have have a read of the posting guideline Its at the bottom of the page and i think it would be of great benefit to both yourself, me and the rest of the thead if you were to apply those basic guidline to you posts Because saying the car isnt a viagra pill crossed with dried chicken tell me litteraly nothing about you opinion towards having extra parts for the mod --- Post updated --- --- Post updated --- does anyone have any information about the power output of NASCAR engines im specifically after the torque curve as i am trying to make the engine and this is part of the jbeam file i will be using the Barstow as the test car for the engine as the actual truck isn't done yet
NASCAR engines from that time were 16-valve pushrod V8 engines, with a displacement of 350 to 358 cubic inches. The maximum compression ratio is 12.0:1. The engine must use a mechanical, single-coil distributor, a single oil pump, and a single four-barrel carburetor (390 cfm in the Craftsman and Busch series; 780 cfm in Nextel Cup). With the small carburetor, the engine generates slightly more than 700 horsepower (650 at restricted tracks such as Daytona) at peak revs of just over 9000 rpm.
thats all very helpful but i probably should have been a little more specific the main numbers i need to know for the jbeam file is: idle rpm max rpm and the torque curve from 0 rpm to max i mainly need some information on the torque curve if anyone can find the dyno graph from the engine that would help the most.
Max RPM is 9000, idle RPM is maybe 2000 idk, and torque curve? @carlosjr where the hell are you when we need you?

so i was messing around with maps in the game and i managed to lose half the industrial site art files, my bad. i uninstall and reinstalled the game but something in the content folder must have been corrupted because at 99% completed i got a error message saying that the content folder was locked. i tried to delete the whole beamng.drive folder but apparently need permission from myself to do that (dont ask). i have given up and am now reinstalling it on my second SSD which means i first have to uninstall flight simulator x to make room. hopefully this will solve the problem. once it has finished i will reinstall flight sim on the original SSD. a bit irritating especially since i lost all the jbeam file for the roll cage and the materials for it (didn't even think of the mod). i will from now on have a copy of all the NASCAR project files kept safe somewhere like i probably should have done from the start. so well done me. thankfully the models are all fine and kept in a separate file so i wont be losing them thank God
