We will try and fix all the bugs we come across before it is released and then once it is released I have no doubt that any other issues will be pointed out to us.
Hi! I'm new to the forums, I just bought the games and now I'm looking thru various forums and mods! I knew there was a late model, but I didn't know about the truck, can't wait to try it when it gets released!
So what all goes into/has gone into making the J-Beam for the mod? I wanna learn to make mods after I learn to play the game to its full extent, but i want a general idea as to what it takes.
Time, patience, and skill. I haven't done any sort of modding yet but from what I have learned the J-beam is like a wire mesh, you have to make sure that the J-beam is just right on the model or you will have a pretty crappy outcome. I am pretty sure there are videos that show someone working on J-beams tj=hat can give you an idea what it is like.
Even if you align the jbeam with the model it can be stil messy. You have to make sure that the nodes do not go pass each other or the object will be really spiky in crashes. Also getting all of the beam strenghts just right is a bit of a pain and it involves a lot of guess work, as internet lacks a lot in therms of crash tests.
i would suggest the beamng wiki. That's how i learned how the physics in beamng work. https://wiki.beamng.com/JBeam_Introduction explains how jbeam structures work https://wiki.beamng.com/Portal contains loads of documentation about modding and other stuff to do with how the game works
Don't know. He wated it to be out in Febuary but that changed. He decided not to set a release date unless it was for sure.
I know this is off topic, but this thread has now hit 69 pages, good job everybody! 30 of which are impatient idiots asking when it will be done... --- Post updated --- On topic, I think 99's new GM coupe could be a good base for a GM stock car, but you'd need his permission, of course.
no Edit: welp, I thought that Slimeboy's post was the latest in the thread lol. I always go to the last post when I reply but I guess it didn't go to the last this time. My mistake.
69 is the meme that will never die...seriously I thought we left this years ago EDIT: wait where's the 69 meme at besides one post?
Nowhere, I just pointed it out because its a little humorous and it puts into perspective how long this thread has gone on. I am posting this just so we can hit page seventy.
