How's the truck mesh goin for ya?
Its being finalized, the wheel arches, fuell filler holes and other round shapes have been made higher res to look more rounded and make the strait edges making up the curves less obvious
This is so awesome. One question, will the roof flaps only be one flap on the roof because that's how it is in the real trucks? And will the cowl flaps work as well?
I asked this same question a few months ago. His answer was that he thought they had two flaps like the other series so he added two instead of one and yes the cowl flaps will be functional.
If only Beam allowed liveries to progressively get dirty over time

are you making the 3D liveries yet? cuz to me a quote from yesterday is kinda old.
Well it depends on the case whether he worked on it past that. And that is quite fast for something from just yesterday to be old. When it comes to development of textures I know those can take a bit of time as well so the mapping of it which I would imagine could take around the same time, unless a complete professional, which could be about 1-3 days again depending on how good they are. Heck clone armor should be easier which is what I work on but that is substance paint and different in many cases.
Sorry got a tad off topic but I do say this work does take some time even though I haven't worked on mods like these before I know from beam.ng by waiting for mods and working on things from other games just a tad. We just need to be patient with all of this regarding a mod. This one especially since the expectations of it are pretty high.
sorry, just eager. i used the context "kinda old" since matty has been able to creat hype without a picture of the full truck in beamng. plus, he used finalized. just expressing my inner 9 y.o of excitement
Totally understandable. Somewhat in the situation but I just decide not to initiate on it. But yeah I can see where you're coming from. Hopefully this could get some good progress in before the school year starts again.

Just as a question, what kind of other bodies have you planned?

Are you able to do liveries yet?
Not yet but the meshes are now competely done and optimised....all the shading is fixed and any other issues we found have been resolved and it is currently being unwrapped. The hope is that the unwrap will be done by the end of the week. The plan is to have all 3 body styles share the same uv map so that only 1 texture is required for each livery. But it may take a little while to get this to work corectly
literally the coolest, have any idea of the release date. even if you dont think it will be out this soon please take your time on it
Well it says the date is to be determined so that usually means that he doesn't know for sure yet. We can make estimates but that is really all it will be.
